Blessed Be Your Name
Blessed be Your Name; In the land that is plentiful
Where streams of abundance flow, Blessed be Your NameBlessed be Your Name
When I’m found in the desert placeThou I walk through the wilderness,
Blessed be Your Name
Every blessing You pour out I’ll turn back to praise
When the darkness closes in Lord still I will say
Blessed be the Name of the Lord, Blessed be Your Name
Blessed be the Name of the Lord Blessed be Your glorious Name
Blessed be your Name When the sun’s shining down on me When the world’s all as it should be
Blessed be Your NameBlessed be Your Name on the road
Marked with sufferingThough there’s pain in the offering
Blessed be your Name
Every blessing You pour out I’ll Turn back to praise
When the darkness closes in Lord Still I will say
Blessed be the Name of the Lord, Blessed be Your Name
Blessed be the Name of the Lord Blessed be Your glorious Name
You give and take away, You give and take away
My heart will choose to say, Lord blessed be Your Name
You give and take away You give and take away
My heart will choose to say Lord blessed be Your Name
O, Blessed be the Name of the Lord, Blessed be Your Name
O, Blessed be the Name of the Lord Blessed be Your glorious Name

It Is Well With My Soul
When peace like a riverattendeth my way
When sorrows like sea billows rollWhatever my lot,
Thou hast taught me to sayIt is well, It is well with my soul
It is wellWith my soul
It is well, It is wellWith my soul
Tho’ Satan should buffetTho’ trials should come
Let this blest assurance controlThat Christ has regarded
My helpless estateAnd hath shed His own blood
for my soul
It is wellWith my soul
It is well, It is wellWith my soul
And Lord, haste the dayWhen my faith shall be sight
The clouds be rolled back as a scrollThe trump shall resound
And the Lord shall descendEven so, it is well with my soul
It is wellWith my soul
It is well, It is wellWith my soul

Jesus arrested (John 18:4-6) "Jesus,
knowing all that was going to happen to him, went out and asked them, "Who is it you want?" {5} "Jesus of Nazareth," they replied. "I am he," Jesus said… {6} When Jesus said, "I am he," they drew back and fell to the ground."
The Sword and the Ear (Luke 22:50-51) "And one of them struck
the servant of the high priest, cutting off his right ear. {51} But Jesus answered, "No more of this!" And he touched the man's ear and healed him.“
(John 18:10-11) "Then Simon Peter, who had a sword, drew it and struck the high priest's servant, cutting off his right ear. (The servant's name was Malchus.) {11} Jesus commanded Peter, "Put your sword away! Shall I not drink the cup the Father has given me?"
Entrusting ourselves to God
(1 Peter 2:20-23) "But how is it to your credit if you receive a beating for doing wrong and endure it? But if you suffer for doing good and you endure it, this is commendable before God. {21} To this you were called, because Christ suffered for you, leaving you an example, that you should follow in his steps. {22} "He committed no sin, and no deceit was found in his mouth." {23} When they hurled their insults at him, he did not retaliate; when he suffered, he made no threats. Instead, he entrusted himself to him who judges justly."
Responding to injustice “We make a mistake in always trying to
clear ourselves. We would be wiser to allow God to vindicate us. There will be times in our lives when we will be misunderstood, slandered and falsely accused. On such occasions the believer should take his case to the highest court and leave it there. Rather than answering back. He should lay his hand on his mouth.”
F.B. Meyer
Christ accepted unjust suffering as God’s will (Isaiah 53:7-10) {7} "He was oppressed
and afflicted, yet he did not open his mouth; he was led like a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before her shearers is silent, so he did not open his mouth. … {9} He was assigned a grave with the wicked, and with the rich in his death, though he had done no violence, nor was any deceit in his mouth. {10} Yet it was the Lord's will to crush him and cause him to suffer…."
