Course Learning Objectives

At the completion of The New Course, Geisel students will be able* to:

1. Apply statistical and epidemiological methods to clinical practice and critical appraisal of the literature pertaining to health and healthcare.

2. Analyze the forces that influence individual and population health and the practice of medicine.

3. Demonstrate the structure and function of health care and apply principles and practices toward improvement.

4. Demonstrate capability to effectively lead oneself and others with understanding, respect, and professionalism.

5. Communicate effectively with both professional and laypersons across these domains.

6. Synthesize a clear plan to address a specific challenge in health or medicine.
