Dear Alumni, Families, and Friends,

It is with deep appreciation that I onceagain have the privilege of extending asincere “Thank you!” to the entireLawrence Academy community for atruly inspiring and successful year offundraising for LA. As you will see inthe following pages, our most devotedand committed supporters – the Boardof Trustees, alumni, parents, faculty,staff, and friends – have generously gifted in support of the schoolto bolster immediate and long-range resources to enhance each andevery student’s educational experience.

Whether in the form of annual giving, capital, or endowed commitments, this generosity and dedication exemplifies the positive impact LA has had on countless lives and the desire to giveback to the school. That collective philanthropic support enabledus to exceed our Annual Fund goal of $1.4 million and providedan invaluable and immediate impact on our academic programs,the arts, athletics, faculty enrichment, and community life.

Adding to our enthusiasm as we enter the start of the 2016–2017school year are gracious moments of individual philanthropic leadership: One, directed to the theatre program, an endowed giftthat will provide growth and learning opportunities for studentsand faculty to collaborate with outside experienced theatre professionals both on and off campus, and another transformativeendowed gift that was committed through a planned gift that willbenefit the school in perpetuity.

These superlative contributions are powerful examples of the commitment so many of you feel to Lawrence Academy. As I’vewritten and said before, your belief in our mission, continued involvement in our community, and ongoing, generous support of Lawrence Academy is evidence of your dedication, which continues to inspire everyone on campus to reach higher andachieve greatness every day.

CURRENT PARENT GIVINGLawrence Academy benefits greatly fromthe philanthropic support it receivesfrom current parents, and this past fiscalyear, LA’s parents provided remarkable support. Gifts were received at everyLeadership Giving Circle level, and parent participation remained strong.Through the gracious generosity of LA’sparents, the total dollars raised for theAnnual Fund and Senior Parent Gift totaled $1,659,627. This impressive display of support broadcasts a strongmessage to all of LA’s constituents abouthow invested our current parents are inadvancing the school.
