Joseph's Dream

Joseph, her husband,

since he was a righteous man, yet unwiling toexpose her to shame, decied to divorce herquietly. Such was his intention when behold,the angel of the Lord appeared to him in a

dream and said,"Joseph, Son of David, do notbe afraid to take Mary your wife into yourhome. For it is through the Holy Spirit that thischild is concieved in her. She will bear a sonand you are to name him Jesus, because he

Wise men following a star

Came to Jesus from afar,Scriptures visions signs and dreams,From all creation meaning streams.Visitations wonders too,

In some way God is calling you.All who listen hear his voice,But listening is our choice.God reveals his will to allWith ears to hear the master's call.The truth, that God will show to us

May not be what you thought it was.Some looked for a mighty KingNot Christ a babe, this tiny thing.Some seek only God above,Not Christ who died to show his love.

Some seek a King to rule the nations;His Church doesn't meet their expectations,What God reveals we must believe,For only faithful hearts recieve.

The Slaughter Of TheInnocents

In a dream an angel said,"Joseph get up out of bed.Take the child and Virgin too

Down to Egypt's land with you."Then the dragon on rampage,Herod proud and full of rage,Spilled out blood upon the earthIn the town of Jesus' birth.

Soldiers stormed into the town,And cut the helpless children down;And mothers in their nightmares cried"God why have all the babies died?'It's truth that no one can denyThat all those born of woman die,But then the judgement comes on sin,And innocents will live again.It isn't God but sinful manThat sheds the blood of little lambs.

In the land of pyramids.

God sent down to Egypt, true.And after Christ, Apostles cameTo preach the word in Jesus' nameEgypt our world represents,And into Egypt we are sent.

The Finding In The Temple

Jesus in Jerusalem

Where his parents had left him.They though that Jesus was with them,So they went off without him.Like so many souls today

Who just like sheep have lost their way,They looked for Jesus everywhere,In every street; he wasn't there.Why go looking all about?We's always in his Father's house;

In the Temple Jesus taughtThings the wise men never thought.And rabbis bowed and listened toA child of only ten and two.Mary cried and tried to find

Her son whom she had left behind.For three sad days the Virgin criedFor the son she couldn't find.Now at last she has no fears.Jesus wipes away her tears.

Unchanging God was born and grew

Transformed by time like me and you,But God is, was, and ever shall be,He is not changed like you and me.Eternal moments are not past.

What was still is and ever shall last.So Christ was born, an infant still,And Christ our Savior, sins still kill.The resurrection's with us nowThough mortal minds cannot say how.

Baptism is the only way.Repent and be Baptized today.If you the grace of God would seek,Do good not evil, help the weak.Learn to live with less not more,

And give your wealth to help the poor.Don't lie or steal. Confess your sin,And then our God will draw you in.I Baptize with water true,But Christ with fire will Baptize you.

Jesus went to John to be

Baptized just like you and me,But John said"master i must beBaptized by you, not you by me".Jesus said that God had willed

This "so all might be fulfilled".The King of course is born intoThe Kingdom he is born to rule.So Christ went down into his deathAnd rose again to draw new breath.

The Holy Spirit as a doveAnointed Jesus from above.Then John's disciples gathered roundHeard the voice like thunder sound,"Beloved Son you are to me.

Jesus preached in all the land"repent! The Kingdom is at hand!"And people came to hear his word,For nothing like it had been heard.He did not preach like Pharisees,

but as one with authority;And power did the Lord displayBy casting demons all away.Lepers did our savior cureTo show his power to make pure.

So great did the Lord's fame growto desert lands he had to go,for everywhere he showed his faceThe crowds would press upon that place.

Lord Of The Sabbath

Jesus was passing through a field ofgrain on the Sabbath. His disciples beganto make a path while picking The heads ofgrain. At this the Pharisees said to him,"look, Why are they doing what is unlawful

on the sabbath?"He said to them,"have you never read

what David did when he was in need andhe and his companions were hungry? Howhe went into the house of God when

Abiathar was high priest and ate the breadof offering that only The priest could lawfulyeat, and shared it with his companions?"

Then he said to them, "the sabbath was

made for man, not man for the sabbath.That is why the Son of Man is Lord even ofthe sabbath."

Lord I Am Not Worthy

A centurion there had a slave who was ill and aboutto die, and he was valuable to him. When he heardabout Jesus, he sent elders of the Jews to him, askinghim to come and save the life of his slave. Theyaproached Jesus and strongly urged him saying,"hedeserves to have you do this for him, for he loves our

nation and he built a synogogue for us."And Jesus went with them, but when he was only a

short distance from the house, the centurion sentfriends to tell him,"Lord I Am not worthy to have youenter under my roof. Therefore, I did not concidermyself worthy to come to you; but say the word and let

my servant be healed. For I too am a person subject toauthority, with soldiers subject to me. And I say to one,'go,' and he goes; and to another 'come here' and hecomes; and to my slave 'do this' and he does it."

When Jesus heard this he was amazed at him and,turning, said to the crowd following him,"I tell you, not

even in Israel have I found such faith."When the messengers returned to the house, theyfound the slave in good health.

The Pharisees to Jesus broughtA woman in adultry caught."the law," they said "says stone her true?But, master, what do you say do?"Jesus scribbled in the dirt.

Casting Out Devils

When He came ashorea man from the town who was possesed by demonsmet Him. For a long time he had not worn clothes; hedid not live in a house, but lived among the tombs.When he saw Jesus he cried out and fell down beforehim; in a loud voice he shouted "what have you to do

with me, Jesus, Son of the most high God? I beg younot to torment me!" For he had ordered the uncleanspirit to come out of the man. (it had taken hold of himmany times, and he used to be bound with chains andshackles as a restraint, but he would break his bondsand be driven by the demon into deserted places)

Then Jesus asked him,"what is your name?"He replied "Legion," because many demons had

entered him. and they pleaded with him not to orderthem to depart into the abyss. A herd of swine wasfeeding there on the hillside, and they pleaded with himto allow them to enter those swine; and he let them.

The demons came out of the man and entered theswine, and the herd rushed down the steep bank intothe lake and was drowned.

Who Touched Me?

Jesus stopped. "Who touched my clothes?"They looked around, "nobody knows.Look at this crowd that's pressing in.We can't know who it might have been."But Jesus turned and went back toThe one who touched him for he knew.Suffering with many tearsShe had been bleeding all these years.She spent her wealth on doctors whoHad nothing helpful they could do.But still in hope she did endure,

And now she knew she'd have a cure.If she could only touch his clothes,She knew that she would be made whole."Blessed daughter, go your way,Your faith has made you whole today."

Jesus, help my daughter whoIs near to death. Lord I need you."With compassion Christ did goTo see the girl who suffered so.A servant met them on the way,"don't bother now. She's passed away."But Jesus said "you needn't weep.She isn't dead, but just asleep."For only those in hell are dead;Thr righteous sleep, as Jesus said.So Christ has power to wake the "dead".

They asked the Lord to touch this man.And Jesus took him by the hand.Jesus led him from that placeAnd laid his hands upon his face.Christ spit in the blind man's eyesThen looking up into the skyHe saw a bit but not clearlyAnd other people looked like trees,Then our savior once againPlaced his hand upon the man,And now the man saw all things right.

Our Lord had given him his sight.The Lord our God's prepaired to doWhatever is needed to help you.

A Secret Visitor

Nicodemus, a PhariseeWent to the Lord in secrecy."No man van do the things you doExcept the Lord be with him true."Christ said,"you must be born again.""but how shall i be born again?

How can one whos old be born?""From water and the spirit born.The wind blows where it wants to go.And where it is no man can know.And so are those born from above,Transformed by our saviors love.

No man rises up to GodUnless he came down from above.God's own sonhas come to man,And so must be raised up again.As Moses raised the serpent up,So must Christ be lifted up.

And when I'm raised for all to seeI'll draw all people unto me."For God so loved the world, he gaveHis only son, the world to save.And whosoever will believeEternal life he shall receive.

The Widow's Son

A funeral was passing byAnd Jesus saw the widow cry.With love he said to her "don't weep."Her son was not dead but asleep.Then Jesus told the boy to rise.At once he opened up his eyes.He spoke out loud for all to hear.The people knew that God was near.

Was Jesus really God's own son,Or should we seek another one?John the baptist had to know.The question preyed on him, and soHe sent some friends to ask the LordThe question that wont be ignored.

And Jesus said,"you go tell JohnWhat you've seen that i have done;The blind can see, the lame can walk,The deaf can hear, the dumb can talk,And good news all the poor recieve.

Tell this to John, and he'll believe.Not what you read or what you heard,But as a witness spread my word.You know the things i say are true,Because you've seen the things i do.And others can believe in you,

Because they'll know you doubted too."Jesus healed the blind and lame,And his Apostles did the same,But greater works than these we doWhen we proclaim the Gospel news.

The Woman At The Well

Jesus said "give me a drink."The woman asked "what do you think?I'm a samaritan not a Jew,Not someone you should speak to."But Jesus said "oh! If you knew just whom you werespeaking to,

Then you would ask for drink from me,And living water i'd give free."Jesus told her who she wasHe knows what everybody does.She saw he was a Prophet soShe asked hi where our prayers should go

"this mountain or Jerusalem?Just tell me where we should send them?""not this mountain or that townIn spirit and truth the fathers foundGod seeks those that seek the truth;Seek the spirit he'll seek you."

Then disciples came from townTo share some food that they had found.But Jesus said "I've had my fillBecause I've done my Father's will.In the Kingdom it's harvest timeNot once a year but all the time.
