Block-a-Pix is a block-filling puzzle based on a grid with a pixel-art picture hidden inside. Using logic alone, the solver must determine how the grid is divided into blocks and how the blocks are filled with color until the hidden picture is completely exposed.

Each Block-a-Pix puzzle consists of a grid containing clues scattered throughout. The object is to reveal a hidden picture by dividing the entire area of the grid into rectangular blocks so that: (1) each block contains one clue; (2) the number of squares in the block is equal to the value of the clue; and (3) the color of the block matches that of the clue. The example at right shows a solved puzzle. For practical purposes, we indicate white (uncolored) blocks with pink numbers; you may either shade these blocks very lightly or leave them uncolored for greater contrast with the black blocks.
