Principal’s Message

Dear parents,,

AMIS students had a great start for a new year with their friends and supervised by

their dedicated teachers, and they are adjusting to their new academic levels .

Our school will host the AdvancED accreditation team (NCA) , to achieve the accred-

itation , AMIS team will be working hardly to complete the process successfully.

AMIS teachers are well prepared to teach their students using different strategies and

advanced technology in classrooms, to be ready for the 21st century requirements.

Technology is great tool to enhance communication between us and parents. You can

stay updated with all school activities , and students’ achievements by checking

AMIS Website, Weekly agenda, Email Broadcast, Class Dojo , sms… Communica-

tion can be enhanced also by letters, parents’ communication Notebooks..

Our students will enjoy together all educational activities like Reading and writing

Week, Health and Safety week, Qatar National day, Darb Elsaei , Sports and Art

competitions, and many others…..Students feel happy when their parents play a role

in those activities and bring the materials needed for the activities and the special

dress for the occasion, to share with their friends.

Kindly bring them to school on time to avoid any confusion and not missing any in-

formation… They should understand that sleeping early is very important for them to

focus on their study during school day. AlManar International school is the second

home for children…Their safety is our priority …

رسالة المديرة حضرة أولياء الأمور الكرام،

ابتدأ طلاب مدرسة المنار الدولية بداية جيدة لسنة جديدة مع أصدقائهم وتحت إشراف معلميهم المتفانين في عملهم ،

وقد بدأوا بالتكيف مع مراحلهم التعليمية الجديدة.

، NCAستستضيف مدرستنا فريق عمل الإعتماد الأميركي ادفانس اد لتجديد عملية الإعتماد لجهة

NC، وفريق عمل مدرستنا سيعمل خلال السنة على مراجعة ومتابعة التوصيات وأهداف المدرسة . A

إن أفراد الهيئة التعليمية في مدرسة المنار الدولية مستعدون جيدا لتعليم طلابهم باستخدام استلراتيجيات مختلفة

والتكنولوجيا المتقدمة في الفصول الدراسية ، ليكونوا جاهزين لمتطلبات القرن الواحد والعشرين .

التكنولوجيا هي أداة عظيمة لتعزيز التواصل بيننا وبين أولياء الأمور . يمكنكم الإطلاع على تحديث جميع الأنشطة

المدرسية وإنجازات الطلاب عبر متابعة تطبيقات مدرسة الحكمة على الهواتف النقالة ، رسائل البريد الإلكتروني ،

الرسائل القصيرة والإتصال الإلكتروني بين الأهل والمعلمات الذي سيطبق قريبا..

سيستمتع طلبتنا بمشاركة جميع الأنشطة مع بعضهم البعض ، مثل نشاط أسبوع القراءة والكتابة ، أسبوع الصحة

والسلامة ،اليوم الوطني ، درب الساعي ، المسابقات الرياضية والفنية ، وغيرها ..

.يشعر الطلاب بالسعادة عندما يشارك أهلهم في تلك الأنشطة ومشاركة أولادهم بإحضار المواد المطلوبة ، واللباس

الخاص بأي مناسبة للمشاركة مع أصدقائهم . الرجاء إحضارهم للمدرسة باكرا لتفادي أي ارتباك وعدم إغفال أي

معلومة للطالب.

إن مدرسة المنار الدولية هي البيت الثاني للطلاب وسلامتهم من أولوياتنا .

Academic Controller Message

Dear parents,,

It’s amazing how everything has changed so fast in October. Students get used to school rou-

tines; they showed better discipline, more interaction and grasped a wide scope of information.

On the other side, teachers were dedicated to instilling the values of respecting school rules,

the importance of sharing and caring, and they were following up with students’ performances

in different assessments and keep you alerted for any result that needs to be improved.

During this month, students and teachers deepened their ties through celebrating Teacher’s

Day. They also had so much fun on the Hat Day. What’s more, they were highly active during

the Health and Safety Week where students were exposed to interesting presentations and

hands-on activities prepared by teachers and guests. In addition, students enjoyed trips to

Izghawa Park and Qatar National Theater. Students also continued doing quizzes and tests for

Term 1. At the end of the month, students were busy doing the MAP tests that the school

adopted for measuring students’ academic progress in Math and English subjects.

Please feel always free to share your concerns with teachers through Class Dojo or Parents’

Communication notebook. Teachers are adding revision worksheets on Class Dojo and Cate-

gory section on the website to better help your kids at home.

You are always welcomed to meet with me, whenever you have any concern. Working togeth-

er will help our students to achieve continuous success. I would like to thank you for your

continuous support and follow up.

رسالة المنسقة الأكاديمية

حضرة أولياء الأمور الكرام،

من الملفت تغيرات الأحداث بسرعة في شهر أكتوبر. حيث اعتاد الطلبة على نمطية الحياة

ا واسعا من المعلومات. من جهة المدرسية؛ فأظهروا انضباطا أفضل، وتفاعلا أكبر، وتلقوا كم

أخرى، عمل المعلمون والمعلمات على غرس ق يم احترام قواعد المدرسة، وأهمية المشاركة

والتعاون، وقد تابعوا مستوى أداء الطلبة من خلال التقييمات المختلفة وإطلاعكم على أي دعم

يحتاجه الطالب.

وخلال هذا الشهر، قام الطلبة والمعلمون بتعميق علاقاتهم من خلال الاحتفال بيوم المعلم ويوم

القبعة. بالإضافة إلى الأنشطة المختلفة خلال أسبوع الصحة والسلامة حيث شاهد الطلبة

عروضا غاية في الأهمية وقاموا بأنشطة عملية؛ أعدها المعلمين وضيوف من خارج المدرسة.

كما استمتع الطلبة كذلك بالرحلات إلى حديقة إزغوى ومسرح قطر الوطني. كما واصل الطلبة

التي اعتمدتها المدرسة MAPإجراء اختبارات الفصل الأول، بالإضافة إلى إجراء اختبارات ال

لقياس التقدم الدراسي للطلبة في الرياضيات واللغة الإنجليزية.

أو دفتر تسجيل class Dojoلا تترددوا في التواصل مع المعلمين من خلال تطبيق

وموقع class Dojo. يقوم المعلمون بإضافة أوراق عمل المراجعة على تطبيق الملاحظات

المدرسة لمساعدة أولادكم بشكل أفضل في المنزل.

كما أنه يمكنم الاجتماع معي في حال كان لديكم أي استفسار. إن العمل معا سوف يساعد طلبتنا

على تحقيق النجاح المتواصل. أود أن أشكركم على دعمكم المستمر ومتابعتكم.

Hat Day

Al Manar International School/ Izghawa campus held the “Hat Day” fun activity on

Sunday, October 8, 2017. Students came to school wearing beautiful handmade hats

with different designs and colors showing their creativity and their vast imagination,

adopted in their manufacture on simple materials besides foliage and natural flowers.

In addition, the Art teacher provided the students with materials to draw and make their

own hats. Our teachers participated as well and wore their special hats to complete the

beautiful image of this day.

The Hat Day is an activity of AMIS diverse activities which gives the students the op-

portunity to express themselves and opens the way for them to art, creativity and inno-

vation through the activities of integrating entertainment and extracurricular activities in

the educational process which are aligned with the school's vision and slogan:

“Educating for learning today…Empowering tomorrow”.

The day was a great success as all the students had a wonderful time.

يوم القبعة

. إذ 7102أكتوبر 8قامت مدرسة المنار الدولية/ فرع ازغوى النشاط الترفيهي " يوم القبعة" وذلك يوم الأحد أ

حضر الطلاب إلى المدرسة واضعين على رؤوسهم قبعات جميلة يدوية الصنع مختلفة التصاميم والألوان أظهرت

حسهم الإبداعي ومدى خيالهم الواسع، والتي اعتمد الطلاب في صنعها على مواد بسيطة إلى جانب أوراق الشجر

والزهور الطبيعية.

كما قدمت معلمة مادة الفنون للطلاب المواد اللازمة لرسم وصنع القبعات الخاصة بهم. وشارك أفراد الهيئة التعليمية

في هذا النشاط حيث اعتمروا قبعاتهم الخاصة لاستكمال الصورة الجميلة لهذا اليوم.

يوم القبعة نشاطا من الأنشطة المتنوعة لمدرسة المنار الدولية والتي تمنح الطلبة فرصة للتعبير عن ذاتهم ويعتبر

وفتح المجال أمامهم للفن والإبداع والإبتكار من خلال الأنشطة المميزة لدمج الترفيه والأنشطة اللامنهجية في

اليوم تعليم...وغدا تمكين". " العملية التعليمية والتي تتماشى مع رؤية المدرسة وشعارها:

حقا لقد كان يوما ناجحا حيث أمضى الطلبة خلاله وقتا رائعا.



Health and Safety Week

The Science Department in AMIS(Izghawa) conducted its annual activity “Health and Safety Week” from

Sunday, October 15th, till Wednesday, October 18th, 2017.

The aim of this special week was to shine a spotlight on the habits that enhance the health and wellness of

our students and link between nutrition, physical activity, and learning – because healthy and safe kids are

better prepared to learn!

During this week many events and activities were held to promote and reinforce healthy eating, nutrition

education, safety awareness and physical education. The events and activities were done by passionate vol-

unteers who offered their expertise and extra hands to help implement our events and activities.

On Sunday, October 15th, 2017, Students watched a presentation about Squash Sports by Trainers

from Qatar Squash Federation. Students attended a science presentation about the healthy food

and healthy habits by the science coordinator; Ms. Roba. A number of students from Grade 6

presented the role of a Doctor, Chef, and Builder to all classes. The school Nurse explained to

students how to take care of their personal hygiene on daily basis. On Monday, October 16th, 2017, Students attended a short act about hygiene and health care in Islam

supervised by Ms. Rouwayda. Representatives from Boecker Company for pest control explained

to students about the types of harmful pests and how students can be safe and protected from their

effects. KG1 and KG2 students went on a healthy picnic to Izghawa Family Park, sharing healthy

food altogether.

On Tuesday, October 17th, 2017, Students attended First Aid training done by a Paramedic from

Hamad Medical Hospital. Grade 1 and Grade 2 students went on a healthy picnic to Izghawa Fam-

ily Park, sharing healthy food altogether.

On Wednesday, October 18th, 2017, Students attended a presentation done by a specialist doctor in

heart disease, a presentation by Ms. Samira showing the importance of sports to maintain our

health, and Bus safety presentation by Ms. Asrar. KG students had shared Elementary students a

performance showing the difference between healthy and non-healthy food. Students from all

grades brought healthy snacks. Grade 3A and Grade 3B students went on a healthy picnic to

Izghawa Family Park, sharing healthy food altogether.

This week was a total success due to the time and effort shared by AMIS team and communication with

parents. Without the school team commitment, and hard work none of this would have been possible.

أسبوع الصحة والسلامة

أحيا قسم العلوم بمدرسة المنار الدولية )ازغوى( فعاليات النشاط السنوي "أسبوع الصحة و السلامة" من يوم

.7102أكتوبر 08أكتوبر حتى يوم الأربعاء، 01الأحد،

وكان الهدف من هذا الأسبوع هو تسليط الضوء على العادات التي تعزز الصحة والعافية لطلابنا والارتباط .

لأن الأطفال ذوي الصحة الجيدة هم الأفضل استعدادا للتعلم. –الوثيق بين التغذية والنشاط البدني والتعلم

أقيمت العديد من الفقرات والأنشطة خلال هذا الأسبوع لتشجيع وتعزيز الغذاء الصحي والتثقيف في مجال

التغذية، والوعي بالسلامة والتربية البدنية. و قد ساهم مجموعة من المتطوعين في إثراء هذا النشاط من خلال

عرض خبراتهم و للمساعدة على تنفيذ مختلف الأنشطة.

شاهد الطلاب عرضا حول "رياضة الاسكواش" تحت إشراف مدربين من ، 7102أكتوبر / 01يوم الأحد

"الاتحاد القطري للاسكواش". كما حضروا عرضا يتعلق بمادة العلوم حول الغذاء الصحي والعادات

الصحية قدمته منسقة مادة العلوم : الأستاذة ربى. كما استعرض بعض طلبة الصف السادس ابتدائي

دور الدكتور والطاهي والبناء في المجتمع لجميع الصفوف. وشرحت ممرضة المدرسة للطلبة كيفية

العناية بالنظافة الشخصية بشكل يومي.

حضر الطلاب عرضا مسرحيا قصيرا حول الصحة العامة والرعاية ، 7102أكتوبر/ 01يوم الاثنين،

الصحية من الناحية الإسلامية تحت إشراف الأستاذة رويدة. كما أوضح ممثلون عن شركة )بويكر(

أنواع الآفات الضارة وكيفية السيطرة عليها و تجنب أضرارها. في حين ذهب طلبة الروضة الأولى

ة يتشاركون خلالها الغذاء الصحي.والتمهيدي بنزهة صحية إلى حديقة ازغوى العائلي

حضر الطلاب ورشة حول الإسعافات الأولية قدمها فريق إسعاف من ، 7102أكتوبر/ 02يوم الثلاثاء،

مستشفى حمد الطبي. بينما ذهب طلبة الصف الأول والثاني ابتدائي بنزهة صحية إلى حديقة ازغوى

حضر الطلاب محاضرة قدمها دكتور أخصائي في أمراض القلب، ، 7102أكتوبر/ 01يوم الأربعاء،

وعرضا قدمته الأستاذة سميرة تبين فيه أهمية ممارسة الرياضة للحفاظ على الصحة، ثم عرضا من

تقديم السيدة أسرار حول السلامة في الحافلة. كما قدم طلبة الروضة الأولى والتمهيدي عرضا لتوضيح

الاختلاف بين الأطعمة الصحية و الغير صحية. في حين ذهب طلبة الصف الثالث ابتدائي )أ ، ب(

.يتشاركون خلالها الغذاء الصحيبنزهة صحية إلى حديقة ازغوى العائلية

لقد كان هذا الأسبوع ناجحا بفضل تظافر جهود فريق العمل المميز بمدرسة المنار الدولية والتواصل مع أولياء

الأمور. وما كان ليكتمل هذا النجاح دون الالتزام الجدي لفريق المدرسة وعملهم الشاق.

Parents’ Information Night

Al-Manar International School/ Izghawa held the first induction meeting for this

year, on Sunday, October 8, 2017 for kindergarten and Elementary from 3:00 pm to

5:30 pm.

The invitation was extended to all parents who attended a special presentation by the

school principal, Ms. Sanaa, during which she reviewed the rules and regulations of

the school within the educational and administrative framework as well as the mis-

sion and vision of the school and the school goals.

In addition, presentations were made by the coordinators of the subjects of English,

Arabic, Mathematics, Science, Qatar History, Religion and Social Studies on the edu-

cational curricula, the mechanism of teaching and evaluation and the role of the par-

ents in that.

Parents were also given the opportunity to meet with teachers and ask them ques-

tions and queries with the emphasis of teachers on the importance of communication

between the school and parents and the role it plays in the improvement of students.

Last but not least, the admin staff and Teachers at Al Manar International School are

fully prepared to receive all your observations and suggestions when necessary, and

to keep communicating to be aware of the academic and educational developments of

your children aligned with the school's Motto:

اللقاء التعريفي مع أولياء الأمور

لمرحلة 7102أكتوبر 8عقدت مدرسة المنار الدولية فرع ازغوى اللقاء التعريفي الأول لهذه السنة وذلك يوم الأحد

الروضة والمرحلة الابتدائية من الساعة الثالثة عصرا وامتد حتى الساعة الخامسة والنصف مساء.

وقد كانت الدعوة عامة لجميع أولياء الأمور الذين حضروا عرضا توضيحيا مميزا من ق بل مديرة المدرسة السيدة سناء

التي استعرضت خلاله أبرزالقواعد التنظيمية والقوانين المدرسية ضمن الإطار التربوي والإداري علاوة على رسالة

المدرسة وأهداف المدرسة. ورؤية

هذا إلى جانب العروض التوضيحية التي قدمها منسقو مواد اللغة الإنجليزية، اللغة العربية، الرياضيات، العلوم، تاريخ

قطر، التربية الإسلامية والعلوم الاجتماعية حول المناهج التعليمية وآلية تدريسها وتقييمها ودور الأهل في ذلك.

لأولياء الأمور لقاء المعلمين وطرح مختلف أسئلتهم واستفساراتهم مع تأكيد المعلمين على أهمية تيحت الفرصةأكما

التواصل بين المدرسة والأهل والدور الذي يلعبه في تقدم الطلبة.

أخيرا وليس آخرا فإن الهيئة الإدارية والتعليمية في مدرسة المنار الدولية على استعداد تام لاستقبال كافة ملاحظاتكم

بكافة تطورات أولادكم الأكاديمية والتربوية ومقترحاتكم متى اقتضت الحاجة، وإبقاء التواصل مستمرا لتكونوا على علم

The letters fail to express and the words fall on the lines when we ask about the virtues of the

teacher, no words of praise or poems of thanks meet the right of this person who devoted most

of his time to transfer students from the darkness of ignorance to the light of education and

knowledge.

All of us have been students at some stage of our life and have benefited from our teachers.

Celebration of Teacher’s Day is a wonderful opportunity to show gratitude and appreciation

to our teachers.

In appreciation to the valuable contribution made by teachers to the society by imparting

knowledge, enlightening and shaping the career of students, Al Manar international school

celebrated Teacher’s day on Thursday 5th of October, 2017. Teachers received the warmest

congratulations and best wishes for the happy occasion from their students who presented

gifts, flowers and hand-made cards, expressing their gratitude to the greatest message holders,

which is the message of education.

During the morning assembly, our students made influential speeches and poems in acknowl-

edgement and love to their teachers who instilled in them the highest principles and the high-

est values. At the end of the day, AMIS Team had a memorable celebration; teachers received

special Mugs customized with AMIS family group photo from the principal as a token of love

and appreciation. Ms. Insaf distributed red roses and souvenir cards with words written by the

students expressing their appreciation to all.

يوم المعلم

عجز الحروف عن التعبير وتتوه الكلمات على السطور عندما نسأل عن فضل المعلم، فما من عبارات ت

مدح ولا قصائد شكر تفي حق هذا الشخص الذي كرس أغلب أوقاته لينقل طلابه من ظلمة الجهل إلى

نور العلم والمعرفة.

كنا جميعا طلابا في مرحلة ما من حياتنا واستفدنا من معلمينا. الاحتفال بيوم المعلم هو فرصة رائعة

لإظهار الامتنان والتقدير لمعلمينا.

تقديرا للمساهمة القيمة التي قدمها المعلمون للمجتمع من خلال نقل المعرفة للطلاب وتنوير مستقبلهم

وتهيئتهم لخوض الحياة العملية ، احتفلت مدرسة المنار الدولية /فرع ازغوى بيوم المعلم وذلك يوم

المعلمون والمعلمات أحر التهاني وأطيب الأمنيات لهذه المناسبة تلقى . حيث 7102أكتوبر 1الخميس

السعيدة من ق بل طلابهم الذين قدموا الهدايا والورود وبطاقات تذكارية يدوية الصنع تعبيرا منهم على

امتنانهم لحاملي أعظم رسالة ألا وهي رسالة العلم.

كما ألقى بعض الطلبة خلال فترة الطابور الصباحي خطابات مؤثرة إعترافا منهم بالجميل والشكرالجزيل

لمعلميهم الذين غرسوا فيهم أسمى المبادئ وأرقى الق يم. في نهاية اليوم، احتفل أفراد الهيئة الإدارية

والتعليمية بهذه المناسبة ؛ حيث استلموا أكوابا خاصة طبع عليها الصورة الجماعية لفريق المدرسة مهداة

من المديرة كعربون محبة وتقدير. وقد وزعت السيدة إنصاف ورودا حمراء وبطاقات تذكارية كتب عليها

الطلبة كلمات معبرة تقديرا للجميع.

Al Manar International School (Izghawa) was

decorated in pink color on Thursday 19th of

October 2017. It was a distinctive color for

the clothes worn by all the students and

teachers on that day, and the posters hanged

in the courtyards of the school. The students

presented beautiful pink flowers to teachers

and staff and brought different kinds of pink

cakes and sweets.

This activity coincides with the month of Oc-

tober, the month of awareness of Breast Cancer, where the pink color was chosen as a

symbol of solidarity campaigns with cancer patients and selected to raise awareness of the

need to combat and the possibility of healing whenever it was detected early.

Teachers put on pink badges to support and give hope to cancer patients. On a billboard,

the members of the educational and administrative staff wrote many quotes of solidarity

and wishes that give hope to the patients and call for speedy recovery.

الجميل حيث كان لونا مميزا للثياب التي ارتداها جميع الطلبة والمعلمون يومها، واللوحات الجدارية

في باحات المدرسة . وقد قدم الطلبة الزهور الوردية الجميلة لأعضاء الهيئتين التعليمية والإدارية ،

. كما أحضر الطلبة قوال ب كعك وردية اللون

ويتزامن هذا النشاط مع شهر أكتوبر، شهر التوعية حول سرطان الثدي ، حيث اختير اللون الوردي

رمزا لحملات التضامن مع مرضى السرطان وتوعية الجميع بضرورة مكافحته وإمكانية الشفاء منه

في حال تم الكشف عنه مبكرا.

. وعلى لوحة أعدت هذا وقد وضع المعلمون الشارات الوردية رمزا لتضامنهم مع مرضى السرطان

لهذا الغرض؛ قام أعضاء الهيئتين التعليمية والإدارية بكتابة بعض العبارات التضامنية والكلمات التي

. تبعث الأمل في نفوس المرضى والدعوة لهم بالشفاء العاجل

Just So Stories

AMIS students from Gr1 till Gr6, went to Qatar National Theatre on Sunday 22nd, Monday 23rd and Tuesday 24th of October 2017, supervised by their teachers, to watch a collection of children’s animal fables by (Rudyard Kipling) called, “Just So Stories”, and enjoyed all the stories told about the various animals. The stories included far-fetched descriptions of how certain animals developed their peculiar physical characteristics, as in “How the Leopard Got His Spots”, and “How the elephant’s trunk became so long”. During the one hour show time, our students were listening very carefully and interacting with the awesome performers. Finally, during this interactive spectacular family theatre show, our students succeed-ed in understanding the directed objective toward human behavior, in addition to an-imals’ morphology, and acquiring its most distinctive features. It was clear through answering some questions that were given by their teachers about the show while they were going back to the school. It was a great experience for our students to understand worldwide English spoken, improve their listening comprehension and learning new vocabulary while having fun.

، تحت إشراف معلميهم، لمشاهدة مجموعة من القصص من تنظيم روديارد كيبلينغ تحت عنوان 7102أكتوبر 72الثلاثاء

"فقط قصص"، واستمتعوا بالقصص المختلفة عن أنواع الحيوانات..

شملت القصص وصفا بعيد المنال لكيفية تطور بعض الحيوانات، خصائصها الفيزيائية الغريبة، كما هو الحال في "كيف

تكونت البقع على الفهد "، و "كيف أصبح جذع الفيل طويلا". خلال وقت العرض الذي استمر لمدة ساعة، كان طلبتنا

يستمعون بعناية فائقة ويتفاعلون مع أداء الممثلين.

أخيرا، خلال هذا العرض المسرحي المذهل التفاعلي العائلي، نجح الطلبة في فهم الرسالة الموجهة عن سلوك الإنسان

بالإضافة إلى تشكيل الحيوانات واكتسابها السمات الأكثر تميزا. وتبين ذلك من خلال الإجابة على بعض الأسئلة التي قدمها

معلموهم عن العرض أثناء عودتهم إلى المدرسة.

كانت تجربة رائعة لطلبتنا لفهم اللغة الإنجليزية من جميع أنحاء العالم ، وكيفية تطوير طريقة الإستماع وتعلم المفردات
