A REPORT ON INDEPENDENCE DAY CELEBRATION
The Department of English, under the solicitous patronage of respected Principal Dr.
Mrs. Madhu Prashar, celebrated Independence Day on 15 August, as the
nation's independence from the United Kingdom on 15 August 1947. India got freedom
from the 300 years of British Rule at the stroke of midnight as India moved towards August
15, 1947. The stories of struggle for independence are discussed on this day to make
students aware that there have been millions of lives that sacrificed for this freedom and
many of them are not even known or remembered. The most important thing is that we
remember and pay homage to these legends on this auspicious day. The students were
make aware of their duty and for all Indian to think and pay respect to those who died for
the country.

The Department of Hindi, under the solicitous patronage of respected Principal Dr.
Mrs. Madhu Prashar, celebrated Teachers Day on 5 September 2014 in the college campus.
The Teachers Day is celebrated on Birth Anniversary of Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, who
was First Vice-President and Second President of India and politician. His dedicated work
towards education made his birthday an important day in the history of India. The teachers
are an extremely important facet of society for a number of reasons and their role in
society is both significant and valuable.

The Department of Political Science, under the kind guidance of respected Principal Dr.
Mrs. Madhu Prashar, celebrated Gandhi Jayanti on 2nd October 2014, remembering the
National Father and his contribution. His teachings are reiterated and his words are
revisited on this day.
A REPORT ON NATIONAL YOUTH DAY
The Department of Political Science, under the solicitous patronage of respected
Principal Dr. Mrs. Madhu Prashar, celebrated National Youth Day on 12.1.2015 on the
memory of the birthday of Swami Vivekananda. In 1984 the Government of India declared
this day as National Youth Day and since from 1985 the event is celebrated in India.

The Department of Hindi, under the solicitous patronage of respected Principal Dr. Mrs.
Madhu Prashar, celebrated National Voters Day on 25-01-2015, in order to encourage more
young voters to take part in the political process.
A REPORT ON REPUBLIC DAY
The Department of Political Science, under the solicitous patronage of respected Principal
Dr. Mrs. Madhu Prashar, celebrated Republic Day on 26-01-2015. The students were made
aware that Republic Day honours the date on which the Constitution of India came into
effect on 26 January 1950. The Constitution was adopted by the Indian Constituent
Assembly on 26 November 1949, and came into effect on 26 January 1950 with a
democratic government system, completing the country's transition towards becoming an
independent republic. 26 January was chosen as the Republic day because it was on this
day in 1930 when Declaration of Indian Independence was proclaimed by the Indian
National Congress as opposed to the Dominion status offered by British Regime.

The Department of Economics, under the solicitous patronage of respected Principal
Dr. Mrs. Madhu Prashar, celebrated World Day of Social Justice on 20-02-2015. Its aim is to
motivate students regarding the principle for peaceful and prosperous coexistence within
and among nations. the principles of social justice promote gender equality or the rights of
indigenous peoples and migrants. social justice remove barriers that people face because of
gender, age, race, ethnicity, religion, culture or disability.
A REPORT ON CELEBRATION ON INTERNATIONAL WOMEN’S DAY
The Department of Economics, under the kind guidance of respected Principal Dr.
Mrs. Madhu Prashar, celebrated international Women’s Day on 8th March 2015 in the
college campus. On this occasion, the students were given the knowledge of various social
evils like practice of sati, child marriage, female feticide, dowry, custom of ‘pardah’ etc. that
are damaging the roots of our society. The teachings of the Great Gurus and the spiritual
leaders were discussed who endowed the women with equal status to men. The
importance of education was also discussed which is the necessary for the emancipation of
women. The girls were also motivated to take forward leaps and be like the ocean and not
to stagnate like the water in lake.

The Department of Hindi, under the solicitous patronage of respected Principal Dr.
Mrs. Madhu Prashar, celebrated World Health Day on 7.4.2015 to make students aware
about their health.
A REPORT ON NATIONAL PANCHAYATI DAY
The Department of Political Science, under the solicitous patronage of respected
Principal Dr. Mrs. Madhu Prashar, celebrated National Panchayati Day on 24.4.2015. Its
purpose is to inform students that the day marks the passing of the Constitution Act (73rd
Amendment), 1992, that came into existence with effect from April 24, 1993. The
enactment of the 73rd amendment is applauded as a defining moment in history as it
permits states to take steps to organize village panchayats and provide them with
necessary powers and authority necessary to help them to function as units of self-
government.

A REPORT ON NATIONAL UNITY DAY
The Declamation Contest was organized for the graduate students by the
Department of hindi on 31st October, 2015 in the memory of Sardar Vallabhai Patel. The
purpose was to explore and encourage creativity in students and the contest offered them a
platform to showcase their skills. It inspired them to think and work creatively in order to
promote the artistic excellence. Students participated earnestly in the competition. They
came up with amazing creativity. Students and were shared their brilliant views on the
National Unity Day. After it, Teachers also gave their views on Rashtriya Ekta Diwas. The
efforts and initiatives of students were appreciated by one and all.

The Department of Physical Education, under the solicitous patronage of respected
Principal Dr. Mrs. Madhu Prashar, celebrated National Sports Day on 29th August 2016. Tha
students were made aware that this day marks the birthday of Major Dhyan Chand Singh,
the hockey player who won gold medals in Olympics for India in the years 1928, 1932 and
1936. He scored over 400 goals in his career, from 1926 to 1948. After putting his stamp on
international hockey arena, and having served his country to reach its pinnacles of glory
multiple times. He is a legendary figure in the Indian and world hockey. The most noted
memorials for him is the Major Dhyan Chand Award ,the highest award for lifetime
achievement in sports and games in India , and the National Sport day celebrations on his
birthday.

against girls in India has been going on since ages now. Even today, there are several
sections of the Indian society where the girl child is treated as a burden. Save girl child is an
awareness campaign to save the girl child in India by ensuring the safety as well as to stop
the crime against girl child especially female foeticide and gender inequality. With this
motive, an essay writing competition was arranged in the college The basic motive of this
competition was to create awareness among the students against female foeticide. Students
of different classes expressed their views on female foeticide, save girl child, dowry system
etc in the writings. There was a huge enthusiasm among the teachers and the students of
the programme. The best writ-ups were awarded by the head.

Madhu Prashar, arranged awareness campaign regarding Press Freedom Day on 3.5.2017
in order to spread awareness on the significance of press freedom and to remind the
government of its duty to uphold and respect the right to freedom of expression. Media plays
a vital role in reasserting the values on which the democracy of respecting rights has been
built. Therefore, our government must help in keeping the journalists safe.

The Department of Political Science, under the solicitous patronage of respected
Principal Dr. Mrs. Madhu Prashar, celebrated World Red Cross Day on 08.05.2017 to to
commemorate the birthday of Henri Dunant who had founded the International Committee
of the Red Cross (ICRC) in the year 1863 in the Geneva, Switzerland. It aimed to provide
relief to the human beings in distress and desolation due to war, food shortage, epidemic
diseases or natural calamities.

A REPORT ON TREE PLANTATION ON EARTH DAY
The Department of English, under the solicitous patronage of respected Principal Dr. Mrs.
Madhu Prashar, arranged the tree plantation in the college campus on 21st April, 2018 in
order to celebrate Earth Day which is on 22nd April 2018 (Sunday). This exercise was
organized to create social awareness about the importance of tree plantation which is
necessary for the eco-system. The eco-system which is very much essential for our survival
can only be protected with the plantation of trees. Many students participated in this
activity and gathered in the ground with the small saplings of various kinds of trees which
were further planted in the ground by them. All the students enjoyed the tree plantation
which brought them closer to the environment.

day often referred to as May Day. It is a celebration of labourers and the working
classes that is promoted by the international labour movement.

the students aware of anti-social act of terrorism and its impact on human suffering and

A REPORT ON WORLD ENVIRONMENT DAY
The Department of History, under the solicitous patronage of respected Principal Dr.
Mrs. Madhu Prashar, celebrated World Environment Day on 5.6.2018 to encourage
awareness and action for the protection of our environment among the students. It was an
attempt for raising awareness on emerging environmental issues from marine pollution,
human overpopulation, and global warming, to sustainable consumption and wildlife
crime.
A REPORT ON INDEPENDENCE DAY CELEBRATION
The Department of history, under the solicitous patronage of respected Principal Dr.
Mrs. Madhu Prashar, celebrated Independence Day on 15 August, as the
nation's independence from the United Kingdom on 15 August 1947. India got freedom
from the 300 years of British Rule at the stroke of midnight as India moved towards August
15, 1947. The stories of struggle for independence are discussed on this day to make
students aware that there have been millions of lives that sacrificed for this freedom and
many of them are not even known or remembered. The most important thing is that we
remember and pay homage to these legends on this auspicious day. The students were
make aware of their duty and for all Indian to think and pay respect to those who died for
the country.
A REPORT ON CELEBRATION OF NATIONAL SPORTS DAY
The Department of Physical Education, under the solicitous patronage of respected
Principal Dr. Mrs. Madhu Prashar, celebrated National Sports Day on 29th August 2018 in
collaboration with Department of Physical Education. The students were made aware that
this day marks the birthday of Major Dhyan Chand Singh, the hockey player who won gold
medals in Olympics for India in the years 1928, 1932 and 1936. He scored over 400 goals in
his career, from 1926 to 1948. After putting his stamp on international hockey arena, and
having served his country to reach its pinnacles of glory multiple times. He is a legendary
figure in the Indian and world hockey. The most noted memorials for him is the Major
Dhyan Chand Award ,the highest award for lifetime achievement in sports and games in
India , and the National Sport day celebrations on his birthday.
A REPORT ON CELEBRATION OF TEACHERS DAY
The Department of Punajbi, under the solicitous patronage of respected Dr. Mrs.
Madhu Prashar, celebrated Teachers Day on 5 September 2018 in the college campus. The
Teachers Day is celebrated on Birth Anniversary of Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, who was
First Vice-President and Second President of India and politician. His dedicated work
towards education made his birthday an important day in the history of India. The teachers
are an extremely important facet of society for a number of reasons and their role in
society is both significant and valuable.

The Department of Economics, under the kind guidance of respected Principal Dr.
Mrs. Madhu Prashar, celebrated Gandhi Jayanti on 2nd October 2018, remembering the
National Father and his contribution. His teachings are reiterated and his words are
revisited on this day.
A REPORT ON DRUG ABUSE AWARENESS PROGRAMME
The Department of Economics, under the kind guidance of respected Principal Dr.
Mrs. Madhu Prashar, organized Drug Abuse Awareness Programme on 30th October 2018
in the college campus. The students participated and discussed the causes and
consequences of drug abuse. The effective suggestions and propositions were also
discussed by the speakers to eradicate this social evil from the society. The aim of the
progamme was to make students aware about the negative and deadly consequences of
drug abuse.
A REPORT ON NATIONAL UNITY DAY AND
SARDAR VALLABHAI PATEL BOURTHDAY
The Declamation Contest was organized for the graduate students by the
Department of Hindi on 31st October, 2018 in the memory of Sardar Vallabhai Patel. The
purpose was to explore and encourage creativity in students and the contest offered them a
platform to showcase their skills. It inspired them to think and work creatively in order to
promote the artistic excellence. Students participated earnestly in the competition. They
came up with amazing creativity. Students and were shared their brilliant views on the
National Unity Day. After it, Teachers also gave their views on Rashtriya Ekta Diwas. The
efforts and initiatives of students were appreciated by one and all.
A REPORT ON NATIONAL FLAG DAY
The Department of Hindi, under the solicitous patronage of respected Principal Dr.
Mrs. Madhu Prashar, celebrated National Flag Day. Flag Day of India has been celebrated
since 1949 on 7 December and is dedicated towards commemorating the valour of
servicemen as well as collecting welfare funds from the citizens of India to assist the
rehabilitation of ex-servicemen in need as well as aid the widows and dependents of
martyrs.
