Bible is one story with a logical development from beginning to
end. The context of a passage is very important for its correct
interpretation. The motivation with which God or the Bible
characters act figures strongly in the interpretation of a passage.
The missionary purposes of God were proclaimed at the beginning of
each era of Old Testament history.
