2020 Perfect Vision

HEARTH would like to announce the well deserved retirement of our CEO,

Judy Eakin. Judy will be retiring on October 2, 2020. She has been

HEARTH's CEO for 24 of our 25 years.

We want to ensure that our supporters know this was not a spur of the

moment decision. Judy has been planning and discussing her retirement with

HEARTH's Board of Directors and HEARTH's staff members for over 12

months. We have put a very thoughtful and detailed plan into place for the

CEO transition.

HEARTH has hired Nonprofit Talent to conduct the

search for the new CEO. They are working with a search

committee comprised of key HEARTH volunteers, which

include members of the Board of Directors, Emeritus

Board, and Young Professionals Board.

Check in with Shannon, a former HEARTH

resident and hear why she believes so much in

HEARTH’s mission. Shannon is thriving and is

giving back to HEARTH in so many ways. Click

the video to see how she supported our

#MarvelousMoms this past Mother’s Day!

This quarter we are focusing on our

second pillar, Supportive Services.

HEARTH believes that our on-site

supportive services are a big part of

what makes us so unique. Our

program is facility-based. This means

that while our moms are working to

re-build their lives they have access

to necessities such as, building wide

wi-fi to complete coursework, a food

pantry that is accessible 24/7, a

clothing closet, and safety and

security systems.

They also have the support of

HEARTH’s Direct Services

Coordinator, who meets with each

family weekly to develop and achieve

their goals!

The nice weather is finally here, and it’s time to get the HEARTH vegetable garden ready for summer! A wonderful team of Garden Buddy volunteers have been fostering seeds and plants for our families until the cold weather passed and we can put social distancing guidelines in place so they can garden safely. Senna, Chris, Bonnie, Arlene, Sarah and Al have all helped keep a connec-tion with our participants while we have been apart.

June 6th is kick off and planting day. . If you would like to donate vege-table or herb plants you still can – contact [email protected] if you would like to make a contribution.

Thank you to everyone that fundraised and walked virtually!

HEARTH needs ambassadors! Are you looking for ways to give back from

Although we did not get to celebrate our 10th annual ‘Hops

for HEARTH’ in the way we imagined. We wanted to take

this time to express our gratitude to our sponsors, those of

you who still donated and bid on our silent auction, and

especially to our brewers, distributors, and restaurants!
