Overview
Bringing together Mitsubishi Hitachi Power Systems’ extensive experience in plant automation and the latest advances in information technology, DIASYS Netmation® is a control system that achieves the highest levels of reliability, economy, automation and ease of use. DIASYS Netmation® is an advanced solution that is meeting the monitoring and control needs of customers worldwide.
DIASYS Netmation® oers a wide range of monitoring and
control applications for everything from the boilers, turbines,
gas turbines and other devices in large-scale thermal power
plants to gas engine generators, diesel generators, fuel cells,
waste incineration generators and other dispersed power
systems, to denitrication and desulfurization and other
ancillary power plant facilities, to factories and buildings, to
liquid natural gas tankers, and much more.
System Conguration
MPS: The Multiple Process Station is a full-sized controller used to perform automatic control and input/output processing.
CPS: The Compact Process Station is a smaller controller used to perform automatic control and input/output processing.
OPS: The Operator Station is a human-machine interface for operations and monitoring.
ACS: The Accessory Station is an interface for the storage and management of data and for interfacing with external devices.
EMS: The Engineering Maintenance Station is used to maintain the entire system.

Remote Monitoring a Standard Feature
Extensibility: Via the Internet, microwave circuits, telephone
lines or other existing channels, DIASYS Netmation® can
provide the same level of monitoring and control at a remote
location as at an OPS in a facility’s central control room.
Mobility: DIASYS Netmation® customers with wireless
networks can set up mobile OPS using tablet or notebook
PCs to perform the same kind of monitoring and control
throughout a facility as in a facility’s central control room.
Real-time reporting: The system can be congured to
transmit critical alarm messages by e-mail so that if a
problem arises, the person in charge is alerted immediately,
and response can be rapid.
Excellent operability: All remote monitoring and control
functions are standard with DIASYS Netmation®, and need
only to be activated by the user. And thanks to the
streamlined communications protocol has designed to
facilitate remote operations, requested data , even when
traveling over analog lines, reaches remote screens at
virtually the same speed as data transferred within a central
control room.
Drag-and-Drop Engineering
Simplicity: With DIASYS Netmation® engineering tools, which are based
on the easy-to-use Microsoft® Oce component Visio®, logic data and
graphic display can be created in graphic form and updated easily with
drag-and-drop operations.
Accessibility: Even elements outside the control system
can be included in drawings, and the entire ow of
signals from the controlled devices to the human-
machine interface encompassed in a single view.
Online modication: Logic data can be updated and logic
parameters tuned online by the user with ease, even as the
facility continues to operate.
Features of the LogicCreator
One-step designing: Function logic,
which conventionally requires CAD
design, can be written in Visio®, and
downloaded directly to the controller
(MPS/CPS)—no conversion to POL
diagrams is required.
Comprehensive diagramming:
All required information can be
displayed in the diagram, including
graphic displays, alarms, and drawing
forms.

Monitoring just as with the onsite OPS (equivalent performance even on an analog telephone line)
Alarms messages can also be delivered by email to a portable phone or home PC
• On-site devices can be monitored and controlled just as with the onsite OPS/EMS.
• System maintenance can also be performed remotely.

Flexible, highly scalable product lineup
MPS and CPS: Extremely scalable, DIASYS Netmation®
can be custom-congured with MPS and CPS to meet
the requirements of each facility.
When equipped with MPS, DIASYS Netmation® provides the
capability to control the operation of gas turbines and gas
engines by handling huge volumes of data in rapid cycles, or
makes possible the processing of the enormous number of
input/output calculations required for the operation of a
power plant. On the other hand, with CPS, DIASYS
Netmation® can be scaled down to form a cost-ecient
solution for the control of a smaller-scale device such as
package boiler or the monitoring of a building.
From mega-projects to micro-applications: In a more
complex implementation featuring OPS as the
human-machine interface and ACS for data backup in
addition to MPS and CPS, DIASYS Netmation® can be
congured to monitor and control the operations of the
integrated facilities of a large-scale thermal power plant. But
that is not all: even for vital micro applications such as the
control of a fuel cell, DIASYS Netmation® will bring the same
exible high performance that it does to large-scale
applications.
