A School Nurse’s Guide toBleeding Disorders: Hemophiliaand von Willebrand DiseaseThe Indiana Hemophilia & Thrombosis Center as part of the Partners in Bleeding Disorders Education Program is pleased to provide A School Nurse’s Guide to Bleeding Disorders: Hemophilia and von Willebrand Disease at our website:www.PartnersPRN.org.
These free, on-line learning modules were created to assist the school nurse in coordinating evidence based care for the student with a bleeding disorder. Module completion is also suggested for other school professionals such as administrators, teachers, and coaches to promote a safe and positive learning environment for the student, and improve ongoing communication between the school, the parent, and the Hemophilia Treatment Center (HTC).
Also Available: Videos: A School Educator’s Guide to Hemophilia and von Willebrand Disease
The Indiana Hemophilia & Thrombosis Center has also created two 5 minute videos that discuss the issues related to care of individuals with bleeding disorders in the school setting. Visit www.IHTC.org to access these videos and to learn more about bleeding disorders care and available resources.
