A STUDY ON LOHALI#4(LOC: HXW) GRAVEL PACK JOB As initial testing policy TCP assembly(Mechanical Packer +Fluid Isolation Valve+ Drop bar fixing head +SXAR) was lowered. Correlated with RA marker of TCP by using GR-CCL log, then set Packer at 2730.9m. Tested packer to 500 psi. Lowered fluid level by 1500m. Bar was dropped to fire TCP guns(4 ½”, 12SPF) and perforation was done at 2775-2791m. (TCP job was carried out after installation of BOP) Immediate pressure build-up of 1900psi was observed and well was diverted to FGGS which was producing @30,000 SCMD gas with 10KLPD condensate. As per decision tubing was perforated, unable to kill the well due to fluid loss. An indigenous Xan-vis pill( Base water +Gaurgum+ XC Polymer +PGS + MCC)was pumped and loss was arrested. Unset packer & circulated. POOH packer, carried out 7” casing scrapper trip with circulation. Ran in dummy packer(Provided by Prod- Commissioning),circulated till NTU level of salt sol came down below 70. In this case it came down to 64.

A STUDY ON LOHALI#4(LOC: HXW) GRAVEL PACK JOB

• As initial testing policy TCP assembly(Mechanical Packer +Fluid Isolation Valve+

Drop bar fixing head +SXAR) was lowered. Correlated with RA marker of TCP by

• TUBING PICKLING JOB WAS CARRIED OUT(ACID 64 BBLS + 2 BBLS NEUTRALIZER

FLUID),REVERSE OUT USING SALT SOL. POOH DUMMY PACKER. BRIDGE PLUG WAS SET AT

2796M

• RAN IN GRAVEL PACK ASSEMBLY WITH SCREENS & BLANK PIPES. ALSO R/IN INNER WASH PIPE

STRING INSIDE SCREEN AND BLANK PIPE. AS ALL THE TUBULAR WERE NUE(NON UPSET) TYPE,

HIGH PRECAUTION HAS TO TAKEN DURING R/IN. MAKE-UP TORQUE IS LESS HERE, SO LOWER

RANGE TORQUE INDICATOR SUITS HERE. CO-ORDINATION WITH EQUIPMENT SECTION IS VERY

IMPORTANT AT THIS PART. SELECTION OF NUMBERS OF SAFETY SHEAR SCREWS IS IMPORTANT

AS IT IS BASED ON RIG/DRILL STRING STRENGTH. IN THIS CASE 5 NOS. OF SET SCREWS WERE

USED. M/UP WASH PIPE WITH STICK-OUT OF PACKER ASSEMBLY & MAKE-UP PACKER OUTER

STRING TO BLANK PIPE. RAN IN 3 ½” DRILL PIPES TAGGED B/PLUG. CCL LOG WAS DONE &

ADJUSTED SETTING DEPTH(DIFF WAS 0.35M WITH DRILL PIPE RIG TALLY). TOOK CIRCULATION

RATE PRESSURE WITH 1 BPM=200PSI & 2 BPM=300PSI. DROPPED 1 3/8” BALL. PRESSURE

TESTED LINES TO 2500PSI. SET PACKER AT 1800 PSI. PERFORM PULL-PUSH TEST BY 10T(P/UP 84

A study on Lohali#4(Loc: HXW) Gravel Pack Job

• Initially service tool was not released after pressuring to 2400psi & slacking off 10T as well as p/up wt increase to 100T. Move tool down to the previous position and pressurize to 2700psi , slack off 12t and the tool got released. Pick-up string wt recorded as 80T(max 95T). Picked up string by 3mt & blew ball seat at 3600psi

• Lower string while pumping at 0.5bpm to BP and keep 1000psi in line. Pick-up and mark Initial release position and then true reverse position. Conduct reverse circulation test(700 psi at 5bpm), st. wt recoded 88T

• Carried out injectivity test & found 6 bpm at 2200 psi. Carried out two screen out drill(should be within 2min),one using SLB pump and another using Rig-pump. Moved tool to set down circulating position, perform gravel pack at 4.5bpm, observed no flucutations in pressure when the proppant hitting the perforation, which indicating formation is accepting proppant. After pumping 156 bbls, pressure spike was observed and screen out was called at 3800psi

• After screen out surface pressure was bleed-off and 800 psi was applied at annulus and simultaneously attempt was made to bring tool to reverse position.

A study on Lohali#4(Loc: HXW) Gravel Pack Job

Reverse out excess gravel at maximum of 5.5bpm and 920psi annulus pressure, Pull out of hole and lay out pup joint and single joint. Monitor the well for losses. Observed10barrels per hour losses initially. POOH all gravel pack tools

Retainer packer was set at2675m. Couldn't release setting tool at snapped wirelineat 4250lbs. Ran in 4 1/4” overshot with 2 7/8” tbg, engaged fish by releasing 7T, released setting tool with an over pull of 18T, POOH fish. A dummy/CCL log was carried out & probed 2695-2620m zone

LTSA with 3 ½” tbg was lowered, tagged retainer packer at 2683.78m. Stabbed LTSA by loosing 18000lbs & found pressure holding at 500psi. P/up, arranged for & lowered SC-SSSV with contour line, tested at 4500psi. Stabbed LTSA into retainer packer by loosing 16000Lbs. Hook-up contour line with well-head. Bonnet cavity test was carried out at 3500psi. N/up X-mas tree. After unloading 20bbls well-fluid, well activated. Presently producing 1,20,000 SCMD gas without any sand ingression.
