Sebastian was smirking. He did this a lot because he usually knew something no one else did, or he liked to make people believe he did.

Today, however, he really did.

He was watching an adult run up and down the aisles of the supermarket, frantically looking for four missing children and a dog. And Sebastian was really enjoying himself. From his spot on the top of the car park wall he could see where everybody was.

Katie was in the clothes section. She was looking at all the new styles and deciding which looks she thought would make the best outfits.

Tilly the dog was jumping up and down and barking with approval and making some suggestions of her own.

Standing by the tills was Jack, he was marking down all the prices of the items going through and adding them up to make sure the total figures were correct.

Now and then, he’d point out to a customer that they could have saved 15% on toothpaste or £2.00 on cheese had they just been aware of the offer that was on that day.

He was always right.

Sebastian watched the adult run past the newsstand and not even notice the curly blonde hair poking up behind a tower of books.

Maddie had read nearly all the magazines and was now making a pile of her favourite books. The pile was almost taller than she was.

The smirk began to turn into a disappointed scowl as he watched as the adult spotted Katie.

“Where have you been? Where are the others?” she wanted to know. Katie explained she had been in the same spot this entire time, and that she had no idea where everyone else was. Although if she had to guess she’d know exactly where they all were - except maybe Henry, because no one ever knew what Henry was up to.

Katie and Tilly led the adult around the store and found Jack andMaddie - but where was Henry?

Sebastian smiled. He knew where Henry was.

Suddenly Tilly began to bark, she’d spotted something. All four of them rushed over to the tins aisle. At first no one could tell what Tilly was barking at.

Of course it was Jack who worked it out - some of the tins had been turned upside down. That was definitely a Henry trick.

“He’s left us clues,” Jack announced. “Look, three broken eggs leading that way!”

7

They all sped in the direction of the broken eggs and found themselves at the butcher’s

counter. There was Henry, in a butcher’s hat and apron trying to sell a lady three

pounds of beef and a lot of sausages!

The adult decided they should leave at once. She rushed them all out of the store. She was very cross - this made Sebastian

very happy. She wanted to know why they had not stayed together.

“Well I was bored and wanted to read,” explained Maddie.

“I was bored too, and wanted to look at the dresses. But everything is too expensive, anyway,” said Katie.

Sebastian watched them leave the shop. They all looked unhappy, apart from Jack who looked like he was thinking...

“Why don’t we open our own shop? Where we won’t get bored, you can buy things

you like and adults can’t tell you off?” he suddenly shouted. Tilly barked with approval.

“But what should we call it?” asked Maddie.

Tilly was still barking.

“Tilltots!”

said Katie.

Sebastian scowled.
