HOW IT WORKS The indicator scans trend retracement signals which are best areas to enter in a trending market.




REGULAR RETRACEMENTS Trend retracements of standard strength based from certain filters. These signals happen most of the time in trending markets.




STRONG RETRACEMENTS Trend retracements of higher probability based from filters. Usually has stronger momentum and can be found in stronger trends with steeper slopes.




WEAK RETRACEMENTS Trend retracements from weakening trends and ranging market conditions. Usually has weak momentum and found on flat trends. Also happens when the pullback is deeper which can be a sign of reversal.




HOW IT LOOKS Trend Retracements are shown on chart with different measures of strength. Strengths are measured from past price action using unique filters.




MEASURED MOVE Calculated pip range from breakout range. This value can be used as basis for StopLoss and Takeprofit Values. Check video here for further explanation

VARIABLES

TrendPeriod

Bigger value means trend in a larger degree.

Smaller values are used for scalping strategies

BreakoutPeriod

The period of breakout confirmation required on when price reaches the pullback zone. Requires smaller values for smaller trend period. Bigger values for bigger trend period.

Example:

For bigger trends: TrendPeriod = 200 & BreakoutPeriod = 10

For scalping small trends: TrendPeriod = 50 & BreakoutPeriod = 5

You can optimize both values per pair and timeframe for better results. Balancing the 2 values with respecet to your trading system is very important.




NOTES • This tool can complement any trading style. Use this tool as confirmation of your trade setup. • This is not a complete system. It is used in conjunction to your strategy. • This tool ONLY gives entry points. Exit point, StopLoss and Takeprofit will be dependent on

the strategy its being used. • Measured Move can be used as approximate targets • Stop Loss can be placed in the Measured Move or nearest Support or Resistance

• The calculations of pullback strength are based from past price action and filters we consider

plus statistics that confirm that if price action meet a certain criteria, the signal is weak, strong or average. There is no 100% way to predict future price movement so sometimes the weak pullbacks turned out to be strong. The signals DONT repaint so it remains to be weak even if it turned to be strong in the next bars that followed.

• Works great in trend following strategies • Works great in trend scalping strategies • Not recommended to in ranging market conditions. Filters are needed to avoid bad setups • Ideally combined with other tools to maximize probabilities • Optimize settings from different timeframes and pairs to achieve better results • Higher “TrendPeriod” is better in avoiding market noise. • “BreakoutPeriod” in most cases is ideally proportional to “TrendPeriod”. Higher

“TrendPeriods” also require higher ”BreakoutPeriod” • For beginners, best used on higher timeframes. H1 and above • Experienced users can scalp smaller timeframes from trends of bigger timeframes.

How to install using Installer (Express Install) 1. CLOSE ALL MT4 terminals

2. Run “FQ - Trend Flow V2.1.exe” and

proceed with the steps indicated

3. Install the indicator on the platform desired. You can select the platforms where you wish to install. Click “Next” until finished.

4. Run /Open MT4 Terminal 5. Go to Options or hit “Ctrl + O” 6. Click “Expert Advisor” tab

a. Check “Allow DLL imports” b. Uncheck “Confirm DLL function calls” c. Check “Allow external experts imports”

This step is important to be able to load the indicators and get the PC Code.




7. Go to “Scripts” and double click “Get_PC_Code”

After you double click this, a window will pop up indicating your PC code. Copy this code or take a screen shot of the code generated.

8. Send this code to: [email protected] a. Please indicate on the Subject Line of your email: “FQ - Trend Flow License”

9. After we received, we will send your log-in details within 24 hours.





Loading the indicators 1. Go to “Indicators” and insert “FQ - Trend Flow V2.1” to your chart

2. On “Common” tab, check “Allow DLL imports” and “Allow external experts imports”

3. On “Inputs” tab, enter the email & password that we have provided and click OK.
