    A Wandering Mind

I have a wandering mind,Gods been very kind,

For its bound to none,Its been incredibly done.

I was born free,Like a gutsy banyan tree,

That keeps growing big and bigger,With branches reaching far and farther.

As a little boy,I was shy and coy,

Mother was my only love,In whose eyes I saw a silent dove.

She would take me beyond the clouds,Where a mystery mist still shrouds,

To the land of angels,Where a sweetness in the air still smells.

But one fateful day,She flew away,

Not to return again,Causing an eternal pain.

With tears in eyes,We bade goodbyes,

And I cried,O dear mother,Come back, I promise, shall never again cause you bother.

But up she went,And upon my knees I bent,

Hoping for a miracle,If ceases the vicious cycle.

But I was wrong,The forces of cessation were too strong,

As following her trail I ran,A grim in the air whispered, Youre an orphan.

The dusk had then just arrived in the sky,And dark clouds were passing by,

Still remember the stinging melancholy in the air,Had closed my eyes in despair.

Then came spring in full flow,To cast away the hearts low,

With a healing touch,If only it were mamas as such!

The Messenger of Light,Having mercy on my plight,

Forced the gloom to part,That lit up my heart.

The colours of nature,Got magically intense in stature,

The singing of birds would send me a call,

    I started liking them all.

The greatest gift of God,The only way to reach the Lord,

The inimitable power of love,I found in a second dove.

Oh, those pristine eyes! There my heart still lies,

I was dearly smitten,Was glad that the cupid had bitten.

The memories of first love,I swear by my dove,

Are like an invaluable treasure,That is beyond measure.

The long strolls with hand in hand,And building castles with sand,

O dear, those lilting tunes,That were like unending sand dunes.

The mornings by the sea,Those were days of glee,

The moments of silence together,When the two hearts lovingly caressed each other.

Hail those amorous glances,Against whom I wouldnt take chances,

Rather enjoyed being in trance,Till brought back to life perchance.

But one fateful day,She too flew away,

Breaking open the hearts cage,Turning me an enlightened sage.

Like the ever enigmatic seasons,She gave no reasons,

Tried to find my best,Was stunned knowing she found a new nest!

Perhaps my trance was too deep,Guess I lost her in sleep,

Alas, those romantic songs nice,Were all over in a trice

Like a prickly thorn,They started haunting me lovelorn,

Turning the rhythms soulful,Making me tearful.

But none saw those tears,The silent downpour reached no ears,

As feeling my pain,It had started to rain.

Then came a voice,That offered me a choice,To cut off the iron chain,

    To be happy again.

Wipe off thy tears O dear,For you have come so near,

To find eternal glee,That would make all misery flee.

Come to me O beloved,Thy feelings are so sacred,For some its only a fetish,

Know that human love is selfish.

Sing again that splendid song,You did no wrong,

Hold thy head high,Our reunion is nigh.

The voice of the Ubiquitous,Resplendent on the thousand petalled Lotus,

Changed me forever,Since then had looked back never.

From the topmost of cliffs,Where the first golden ray sniffs,

Hear my voice coming through the air,Reaching all thy hearts that are near.

Spread thy wings O dear dove,And fly to the nest you love,

Wish thee all the strength,From the innermost corners of my hearts length.

Sing those tunes loud,That they echo through the cloud,

My heart shall play music all along,In rapturous delight to such maddening song.

For Im unbound,Save only His harmonious sound,

That floats like a Blithe Spirit,Spreading elation beyond limit.
