A Weekly Newsletter of Memorial United Methodist Church
October 29-November 4, 2017
An insert in your worship bulletin provides information about
young residents at our KY United Methodist Homes.
For more info, visit www.KYUMH.org or phone 859.873.4481.
Your support helps young people grow physically and spiritually!
Our Nominations Committee is preparing to select individuals for nomination to
serve as leaders at Memorial next year. They will be approved at Charge Conference on
November 28. We would love to get your ideas as well! Positions need to be filled on
Church Council, Finance, Trustees, Staff-Parish Relations, and Nominations committees.
If you would be interested in serving, or if you have a suggestion of someone else you
believe would be a great choice, please let us know! Please list the name on the back of
your Communications Sheet or phone the church office. Your ideas will be an incredibly
helpful tool when we meet. Thank you for your contribution to this important process.
THE LIGHT Children's Ministry is hosting
free to our church and the community
October 29, from 5-7 pm.

Current Total:
890 Pairs
Our Sock Collection Drive continues for our Christmas Food Pantry distribution on
December 8, and for our Room In The Inn (RITI) guests throughout the winter months.
Thank you to all who have already brought donations of purchased socks. We have
reached a little more than 1/3 of our goal of 2,500 pairs!
►Now we have another way to participate….Danny O'Brien has located a source for
socks at a much better price than anything available locally (20¢ a pair)! If you wish to
make a monetary donation toward the purchase of these socks, please write a check to
MUMC with the notation “Christmas socks”. We will purchase socks with your donation.
