If anyone is interested in doing research on a local to semi-local level. ARS has a facility in Wyndmoor, PA about 1 ½ hours from here. They do everything from microbial food safety to designing no calorie, no carb chips. Beltsville, MD is about the same distance. Most of the positions you apply for will begin at the GS-4 or 5 level with a 4 year degree and GS-7 at the Masters level. And you will notice that it is about a $10 difference from Bachelors to Masters Degree.
