Another wonderful school year has come by beautifully. I would like to extend greetings
from Chief and the rest of Council. I want to humbly thank the teachers and staff for doing
a fabulous job guiding our children throughout the school year. I am sincerely grateful to our
families of our beautiful home of Little Pine First Nation, for support of our school for our
children. I am looking forward to another wonderful school year, where we will continue to
uphold our Treaty Right to Education. Through continuing to enhance, implement our history,
knowledge and understanding that reflects our grst territory. I am always and forever will be
grateful for this journey that I have been blessed to be on, as your elected leader,

Dear Chief Little Pine Students, Parents and Staff,
As your principal, I am extremely excited to be part of the Little Pine community. I am thrilled to be the educa-
tional leader of such a student centered school as CLPS. CLPS has dedicated and talented teachers who are moti-
vated to help every student achieve. This is evident when one looks at years of high assessment scores that con-
tinue to improve. One of my goals, as principal, is to support and promote the established foundation of collabora-
tion between teachers, and further promote the highest degree of education for every student, ensuring continued
growth. Our teachers will continue to work in their collaborative teams to develop the most effective teaching
strategies to ensure students are truly grasping the main concepts of the curriculum in every classroom.
We are fortunate to have a strong community at Chief Little Pine School. There are numerous ways for students
and parents to stay involved. I am overwhelmed by the amount of support and pride I see every day from our
outstanding staff, students and the community. I am aware of all the hard work our staff has done over the past
few years to improve the school environment and am so proud. I firmly believe in open and meaningful communica-
tion between school and home. My door is always open so please take the time to stop and say hello. I am looking
forward to meeting each and every one of you during the course of the year.
I want to extend my sincere gratitude to our yearbook committee. Your dedication and hard work throughout the
school year has resulted in a book of memories that staff, students and parents can cherish for a life time.
For the graduating class of 2015, I want to personally congratulate you on your hard work and determination. Al-
though it got tough, you hung in there and persevered. It is an honor to present each and everyone of you with
your diploma and wish you only success and happiness for your future.
Ekosi

Tansi!
It’s been an honour serving as CLPS Jr. Chief and Council. We have enjoyed being the voice for the
student body. Some things we were part of included helping the travel club fundraise, raising
money for the reflector armbands for students to use while out walking in the community, planning
school activities, and raising awareness to bullying.
Our message to fellow students, Stay in school and keep out of trouble!
Have a great summer!

This past March, CLPS hosted “Taste of Cul-
tures”. Students were able to learn about dif-
ferent countries.Staff had to instantly become
experts of a chosen country. Students
learned facts, dances, songs, words, and
tasted a variety of different ethnic food. It
was a great learning experience for all!
