A3HD & A4HD SERIES FIRE ENGINE PUMPS
HEAVY DUTY FIRE PUMPS
- Maximum ambient temperature: +50ºC. - Maximum allowable pressure in casing: 10 Bar. - Rotational speed: Nominal speed 3000rpm, maximum speed 3600rpm.
Performance curves are based on a kinematic viscosity value of 1mm2/s and a density of 1000 Kg/m3 at 20ºC.
- Fluids must be clean and free from suspended abrasive particles. - Maximum fluid temperature: +35ºC.
Our heavy duty fire pumps are a true workhorse and designed for continuous duty when it really matters. With rapid self priming capabilities and made to transfer high volumes of water at medium to high pressures. Complete with 3" bronze inlet (A3HD) or for better flow conditions a 4" inlet (A4HD). Solidly constructed with a durable cast iron impeller, heavy duty aluminium casing and solid bronze inlet and outlet. Available complete with a variety of diesel or petrol drive units that are easily maintained for a long service life. Also available in a bare shaft configuration. This pump can be supplied with a Zinc free Bronze casing and impeller for pumping salt water.

The pump is to be installed in a horizontal position for both fixed and portable plants. These self priming fire pumps require water in the pump case only for the initial pumping operation. No water is necessary for subsequent pumping when the casing contains water For maximum efficiency make the piping as short and straight as possible. Important: If the pump is intended to run at maximum flows, to minimise the change of cavitation to occur, it is important to have well designed inlet pipework. Another way to reduce any cavitation problems, is to use the A4HD pump with the larger inlet in lieu of the A3HD pump.

* Please note - all pumps will be supplied with a 177mm diameter impeller for better self priming abilities, this may however, limit the maximum flow that a pump with a smaller engine will be able to reach. If however, the pump has a flooded suction, than you can request the smaller diameter impeller which will allow the full flow potential of the pump.
