Write the Future Perfect Continuous
for these verbs • Teach • Hope
• Kiss
• Drive
Form Henry will have been dreaming about the end of class
for an hour by 10:00 AM.
• Negative
Henry will NOT have been dreaming about the end of
class for an hour by 10:00 AM.
Form • Question:
• Will Henry have been dreaming about the end of class for an hour by 10:00AM?
• Wh-questions:
• Where will Henry have been dreaming about the end of class for an hour by 10:00AM?
How to use
• To emphasizes the duration of an action or a habitual action before another time in the future.
• We often use for or since with the future perfect continuous.
• He will have been eating dinner for 30 minutes at 8 p.m.
Compared to Future Continuous
• To emphasizes the duration of an action or a habitual action at or after another future time.
• He will be eating dinner at 8 p.m.
How to use • Two situations happen respectively in the future.
• Frist event – future perfect cont.
• Second event – present simple
• You will have been waiting for two hours when the train arrives.
TIME LINE
• The children will have been sleeping for five hours by the time their parents get home.
How to use • To indicate the length of time in the future.
• I will have been studying English for ten months next month.
