Customer: Newly built fivestar hotel, SKYE Hotel Suites Parramatta, offers its guests apartmentstyle suites with techsavvy amenities, highdesign interiors and a variety of onsite services. In addition to its 72 hightech suites, the hotel is home to a stateoftheart “vertical village,” which features a threestory atrium lobby, a restaurant and bar, and an archaeological heritage centre. Challenge: As a property with a goal of delivering a modern and chic experience to its guests, hotel management set out to provide its guests with stateoftheart digital key functionality, in order to allow them to utilize the technologies they already own to enhance security and convenience. Solution: With the installation of ASSA ABLOY Hospitality Mobile Access and its VingCard Signature RFID electronic door locks, hotel guests can now bypass the front desk and immediately enter their room upon arrival with a quick swipe of their mobile device. Powered by secure Seos ® technology, ASSA ABLOY Hospitality Mobile Access adds an advanced mobile phonebased guest service amenity to SKYE Hotel Suites Parramatta that also maximizes security and operations. By generating an encrypted digital key that is transmitted directly to guests’ mobile devices via a third party app, the app transmits the digital key information via Bluetooth and over a secure communication channel, unlocking the VingCard Signature RFID electronic lock and ensuring that only those who are authorized gain entry, whether it be to their guestroom or to specific areas of the property. Working in tandem with ASSA ABLOY Hospitality’s Visionline solution, hotel staff can now remotely monitor entry access to specific areas of the property. With this capability, management can quickly deactivate or restrict access to certain areas if it is ever suspected that unauthorized entry has occurred, increasing overall property security even further. Results: ASSA ABLOY Hospitality Mobile Access allows guests to quickly skip front desk checkin and immediately enter their room with a swipe of their mobile device. Hotel staff can remotely monitor all entry activity from one central location.
