“AAO | ASCME Summit” was conducted by Asian Society of Continuing
Medical Education in collaboration with American Academy of Ophthalmology.
The sole objective of the summit was to update the Ophthalmologists about
new techniques and guidelines in management of the subtherapies like
Glaucoma, Retina and Cataract under the auspices of the American Academy
of Ophthalmology and serve as a platform for clinicians from India and abroad,
to share and exchange their learning, ideas and knowledge in the arena of
ophthalmology.

Summary of AAO | ASCME Summit conducted at Kolkata:
The summit was conducted at Kolkata. It was aimed to bring together
the well-known Ophthalmologist across India in order to discuss various
clinical aspects on Glaucoma, Retina and Cataract.
In this summit, Treatment guidelines were established by
ophthalmologist’s experts. Also, Diabetes macular edema, lasik
complication and management were discussed in this event.
Different cases were explained to the audience and the whole case was
open for discussion. Audience actively participated in the discussion
regarding the differential diagnosis, investigations and management of
Glaucoma, Retina, Cataract, Diabetes macular edema and Lasik.It was a
very interactive session and the delegates thoroughly enjoyed it.
Participants were keen to share their experience and knowledge and
they also provided their critiques and recommendations on the event.

Invite clinical cases from ophthalmologists of India, give them to present
and then discussion by International faculties.
