Create opportunities for the professional growth of the faculty members by coordinating in-house or out-bound workshops, sessions, seminars and lectures. Generate the practice of sharing and collaborative learning that engages all the faculty members in questioning their current assumptions about teaching and ignite a passion to learn further. Work towards identifying the differential needs of the learners in different classes and coming to a common understanding in terms of the support required to enhance their current potential. Standardize certain practices that empower the teacher to deal with certain classroom situations more effectively. Carr out induction for any new member joining the faculty. Enable teachers to view the multiple entry points for a concept so that learners with varied styles of learning find the content relevant. Work with the faculty towards broadening the frame of curriculum beyond the completion of the proposed content. Devise pedagogy that matches the needs of the content to be delivered as well as the needs of the learners. Monitor the progress of content coverage ( month wise). Generate more comprehensive tools of assessment to understand how a learner perceives different concepts. Work at large to co-create practices related to addressing the differential needs of the learners across grades. Address the developmental needs of the faculty members by organizing appropriate programmes. Suggest various solutions to deal with the existing classroom challenges and create learning oppurtunities for the existing team members.

INTERESTS:
I have been academic oriented individual with potent and inherent qualities of learning, yet some of my milestones in the field of interests are as follows:
I had the opportunity of contesting elections for the post of ‘Day Scholar Representative’ in my college in the year 1995. I upheld the motto-‘Service Before Self’.
I was one of the members in organizing & participating in college cultural programs and events. I volunteered as a group leader in my first year of B.Sc degree course in the N.C.C. classes. I was nominated & elected as a ‘Section Representative’ in my Bachelor of Education year. I was shouldered with responsibilities & duties in regard to organizing, arranging & implementing co- curricular activities, festivals and college ceremonies. I was one of the editorial team of the B.Ed Annual e-Newsletter-‘ [email protected]’(2001- 2002) During my practice teaching period in the B.Ed program at St. Thomas’s School, I taught my children the art of calligraphy & helped them to bag the 1st prize in decorating their class bulletein Board under the theme-‘ What Christmas means to each one of us…’ I try my best efforts to inculcate a scientific temper in my children and make them keen admirers of nature with special emphasis on gardening. I have a natural flair for writing poetry in my leisure time.
HOBBIES:Driving, Gardening, Travelling, Reading, interacting with people, Meditation.
CONTRIBUTION TOWARDS SOCIETY:
I personally believe in two D’s: Dedication & devotion. When in class 10th, I took up Hospitality Services as an S.U.P.W subject. I visited ‘Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital’, Delhi & helped the patients and the nurses in the O.P.D in their routine work. During my B.Sc degree course, I took up the project of ‘National Literacy Mission’- Ecah One Teach One- under the National Service Scheme 1997-1998 & taught illiterate people. I served an NGO- ‘Sampurna’ as a project in B.Ed, wherein I helped the organization in imparting elementary education to children belonging to under-priveledged sections of the society and adult education.
AWARDS AND COMMENDATIONS:
Topped in ‘Indian Medical Association’ in the Para-medical course & was awarded a stipend during internship period. Honoured a consolation prize by the Rotary Club of South Delhi Metropolitan in an All India Essay Writing Competition and my name was published in the leading daily newspaper ‘Hindustan Times’ in the year 1990. Honoured a certificate of participation from National Science Centre, Pragati Maidan, Delhi during Teacher Training Program. I also got trained to make Science presentation on the topic ‘Evolution of Man’ using the Cyber Sckool at the Science Centre. Honoured a certificate of Merit With distinction as I topped in B.Ed( Lady Irwin College) in the year 2001-2002. Sponsored to travel to US by the current school and attend a 5-day workshop at NASA Science Centre, Houston.
Selected by the current School to go to Sariska Wild-life Santuary for a 4-day Science program with children of grade 6th.

IMPORTANT AND RELEVANT INFORMATION:I am a highly aspiring & a career oriented individual with a rational thinking. Being a keen learner in life, I realized the true value of travelling, which further inspired me to explore the world around me. Thus, enabling me to travel to different parts of my country, I also got a valuable opportunity to visit UK & USA, twice, which further enhanced my horizons globally.
