Duo cycle no frost technologyCertain Blomberg fridge freezers, are equipped with an advanced duo cycle no frost technology which provides more homogenous, energy efficient, and silent cooling.
In conventional frost free systems, a fan provides constant air flow between the freezer and fresh food compartments. One of the most common problems of this system is odor mixing between the compartments. In Blomberg’s duocycle frost free technology, two fans – one for the freezer and another for the fresh food compartment – provide separate air circulation.
In other words, there is no air transfer between the freezer and fresh food compartments. By means of this separate air movement, the air in the freezer section does not mix with the air in the fresh food section, eliminating odor mixing.
This duo cycle air circulation also leads to a more homogenous air distribution for better preservation of food items. Since the freezing air circulates only in the freezer compartment, food is frozen faster in comparison to conventional freezers. In addition, the separate air circulation leads to lower temperature fluctuation in the fresh food compartment for longer preservation of food. Furthermore, noise level is reduced to a very low level for a peaceful environment in your kitchen.

Frost free cooling system creates a permanent cold environment, eliminating build-up of ice and bacteria in the freezer, and avoids unpleasant fridge odors. HygAIR ionizing technologyThe exceptional HygAIR technology, inherent in select Blomberg refrigerators, is developed to bring freshness of the pine forests to your kitchen. The HygAIR technology eliminates airborne bacteria and odor forming molecules, by producing natural negative ions inside the cabinet. Hygiene+ antibacterial carbon filterPresent in some fridges, is the photo catalyst carbon filter, which eliminates bacteria potentially present in the refrigerator, working in conjunction with the air-cooling systems of the no frost or static models (with built-in fans).
