The district cooling market in Saudi Arabia is considered to be the strongestdistrict cooling market for in the region with over US $100 B for awarded
construction and infrastructure projects.
The Kingdoms rapidly expanding industrial base and population haveincreased the demands for water, power and cooling. The requirement toncrease e ava a y o a r-con on ng sys ems s r s ng an e powersupply required accounts for almost 70% of the total growth in powerdemand.
The drive to optimize energy efficient air conditioning has resulted in the need
to implement district cooling systems over traditional methods. The market isexpected to have an additional capacity of 4.5 million tons of refrigeration, mainly contributed by Saudi Arabia & Qatar in the coming five years*
