In a Vistage group, about a dozen executives meet regularly to discuss their challenges, evaluate opportunities and solve an assortment of strategic, operational and sometimes personal issues.

Put twelve or so high performing business executives in a room and the potential is enormous. The role of a Vistage Chair is to ensure that every bit of experience and wisdom is applied in each Vistage meeting. Our Chairs are accomplished leaders (many are former MDs or CEOs). They are part facilitator, part coach and are committed to the success of their group members.

To maintain the momentum that group meetings provide, Vistage members are also supported by one to one coaching, access to leading expert speakers, bespoke best practice materials and an online community of 18,000 members worldwide.

What we offer

Abdul is an experienced Chief Executive, entrepreneur and an innovator, who has transformed and grown a number of businesses profitably. He has now been invited to lead a Vistage Advisory Board Group, providing help for other business owners, CEO’s and MD’s to improve their businesses.

In his last role, as Chief Executive, Abdul grew a fixture display/ retail shop furniture business from £10m to £54m, operating in a very tough market, working with some of the largest retailers in the UK, like Sainsbury’s and Alliance Boots. This business was then sold to a private equity group for a substantial amount, giving the shareholders very healthy return on their investment.

He is a driven leader, with strategic vision, who has operated at a senior executive level for the past 26 years and came up through the ranks the hard way working and studying to maximise his opportunities. He claims that he has made mistakes along the way, but he has always put the learnings to a productive use.

When Abdul became aware of the Vistage formula, he stated that had he known about it before, he would have joined a Vistage Group without any hesitation. Abdul believes that a Vistage Group would have helped him to make even better decisions and would have helped his quality of life.

Abdul is now bringing his skills and experience to the South Birmingham area through the creation of a Vistage Advisory Group Board, focusing on SME companies.

This Group will consist of MD’s and CEO’s of all types of businesses with a turnover ranging from £2m to £100m.
