Pharaohs – Successful Futures, Successful Now!
Pyramids of Progress
The ancient Egyptians built pyramids as tombs for the pharaohs and their queens. The pharaohs were buried in pyramids of many different shapes and sizes from before the beginning of the Old Kingdom to the end of the Middle Kingdom. There are about eighty pyramids known today from ancient Egypt.
In order to build a pyramid the foundations need to be strong, just like our attitudes to learning, if we aren’t ready to learn our activity is doomed from the start. Without these the pyramids would crumble and fall. Each layer of the pyramid is equally important in achieving the overall apex that soars towards the sky. It could take up to 30 years and thousands of workers to build a pyramid.
Today, you will work as a team to organise skills, attitudes and effects of the skills and attitudes to create a progress pyramid that you’ll refer to throughout the topic. You will need to discuss and organise which of the statements are skills, attitudes and goals before organising them into your pyramid poster. Your team will need to be ready to explain and justify your choices.
Quality Checklist for Progress Pyramids
Our team has agreed a place on the pyramid for each skill, attitude and goal.
Each skill, attitude or goal is stuck securely onto the pyramid and do not overlap.
We are all ready to explain and justify our choices.
We have written the names of our team members on the pyramid sheet.
