ABIDE This week: “Fixing our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith” Hebrews 12:2 WHO IS THE ‘PERFECTER’ OF YOUR FAITH? Oftentimes we are the perfecters of our own faith. We focus on the do’s and don’t’s. We make sure we are morally good and if not, we heap shame on ourselves. OR, we look to others around us to be the perfecters of our faith, because we think they hear from God better than we do. Bottom line is, if we aren’t looking to Jesus as the author and perfecter of our faith, we will fall short every single time. Always discouraged. Anything or anyone, that we put in place of Jesus as our perfecter, is an idol. 1. Spend some time with the Lord today and ask the Holy Spirit to reveal to you the answer to this question. 2.
