EfficientCarbon uses the widely accepted World Research

Institute (WRI) Corporate Accounting-Reporting stan-

dards and ISO 14064-1/ 14064-2 standards to account

for corporate carbon emissions. The Carbon Accounting

processes would start with defining boundaries for the analy-

sis, setting a GHG management strategy followed by the

actual data collections, analysis of the data collected, mitiga-

tion advice and regular monitoring.

EfficientCarbonhand-holds its clients through this process

to set the long term strategy to measure and mitigate

GHG emissions .Once the data is collected, we analyse this

to give you a picture of which unit, product, location or

department is responsible for the maximum emissions.

We would then help you set a strategy for abate-

ment of the GHGs accounted for. This would be

through data analysis techniques where you would

realise the cost-benefits of GHG abatement and the

optimum cut-off point where the maximum emission

reductions can take place. We would institutionalise

a constant GHG collection and monitoring process

Design sustainable productsProduct Carbon footprinting and Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) are proven methodologies in helping companies

foster innovation in product design and move towards greener products. They evaluate the entire life-cycle of a

product and help companies think on alternate product configurations, procurement and manufacturing meth-

ods, supplier/vendor selection, packaging design and transportation methods. Also, with consumers becoming

more aware of their role in contributing to climate change, they are demanding more information to make

purchasing decisions and choosing greener products at premium prices. Product carbon footprinting helps you

communicate your products impact on climate change.

EfficientCarbon can trace the product footprint and perform LCA on a product, right from raw material procure-

ment to manufacturing, distribution, usage and disposal/recycling and calculate the emissions involved at each

stage in the process. Using this assessment, you can make decisions on building greener products and increase

efficiency across the entire value chain of the product. We will provide you services in choosing better materials,

optimising product transportation, using recyclable materials for packing and cutting down non value adding

activities. The LCA is based on the widely accepted PAS2050 developed jointly by Carbon Trust and BSI group

and ISO 14040 series for life cycle assessment.

A cement major in South India is collaborating with EfficientCarbon to map out its emissions and build its Green

House Gas inventory. This will be used by the client to understand emissions across its multiple plants and offices

across the state and plan process improvements to reduce them. The project also involves a detailed LCA of its

main product being used in construction industry and weed out any inefficiency in the value chain. The client is

expecting to save energy and transportation costs, establish itself as an environmental conscious company and

will soon start formalising its sustainable business practices across the organisation.

Renewable Energy SolutionsEfficientCarbon, through its partners can execute large scale projects for industries and offices in the

areas of solar based LED street lighting, solar power supply and energy efficient LED based industrial

lighting. EfficientCarbon offers expert solutions in the areas of perimeter lighting through Solar based

power packs and LED-Solar street lighting, LED based industrial lighting and Solar powered DC lights

where normal high voltage/high current equipment is prohibited. The partner team has a capability of

executing projects that can power entire campuses/offices using Solar power. The projects that the team

has executed are in Tirupati, Koraput, Sultanpur (UP), etc., The solar street lighting and LED lighting

systems have very quick RoI periods and they pay themselves out within 1.5 2 years depending on the

installation types. The products have LEDs that are imported from Nichia, Japan who are the pioneers in

LED technology and are fitted with Microcontrollers for smarter operation and controls. The list of alter-

nate energy products that EfficientCarbon has in its arsenal are:

1. Solar powered and off the grid LED street lights

2. Efficient LED based emergency lamps Solar powered and off the grid.

3. Solar power packs to power offices and buildings.

One ChiEfficientCarbon is proud to support its partner Thrive Energys initiative of One Child

One Light to provide each child with a bright, clean (non-polluting) and inexpensive

light in the remotest places in the world. The current areas of operation for this prod-

uct are in East Africa and India. Any corporate social responsibility to gift these LED

study lights to the children can also be taken up by EfficientCarbon as a part of its
