About iDevelop At a time when the continuous improvement of competences and
qualifications has become a reality, a teacher who possesses substantial and
empirical knowledge is an integral part of the school environment.
iDevelop is an international training provider specialized in the development of
professionals working in the educational sector by promoting, supporting and
providing training activities in accordance with the Erasmus+ principles.
It constitutes the teachers training department of euroMind Group, an
international training and internship consultancy aimed at VET sector.
Many years of experience working closely with schools all over Europe has
allowed us to reach a deep understanding of the reality of the teaching sector.
Hence, iDevelop is able to observe the needs, new tendencies and the continuous changes the educational
system is undergoing.
Thanks to this background, iDevelop have launched a wide range of courses and training events which provide
all the necessary tools to improve the skills of teachers and school staff.
The training courses offered by iDevelop were designed in cooperation with experts with an extensive
experience in the field of education. Topics covered in our training courses are all
related to educational issues, such as: motivation, new teaching methods,
emotional balance and the use of new communication and information
technologies.
CLIL (Content and Language Integrated Learning) is a dual-focused educational approach in which the content of a subject is taught while learning a second language. In this course you will learn what you need for implementing effectively and easily CLIL in your classroom. You will be able to connect your current instructional practice with the basis of CLIL through the process of lesson planning.

Course Programme
By completing this course, you will be able to:
Determine the role of the CLIL teacher and determine a CLIL context for the classroom. Learn different techniques to implement ESL through CLIL, such as Scaffolding. Use a wide range of resources and materials such as ICT tools and visual organizers. Put into practice different CLIL techniques for different stages of a lesson. Plan a lesson in CLIL and develop assessment tools tools such as rubrics. Learn how and which aspects evaluate in CLIL. Develop awareness in between content, culture and language. Reflect on teaching CLIL in different contexts and be able to face challenges in any classroom situation.
Learning Outcomes
How the skills learnt can be applied in teaching work?
1.CLIL materials and resources can be used in a wide range of classroom contexts.
2.Reflecting on our own teaching methods with others will enrich and inspire implementing new ideas.
3.Though lesson planning, teachers will learn the whole process of a CLIL lesson, making it easier to be implemented in their classes.
4.This course enriches the English language skills of the participants.
The course proposes a practical approach to CLIL, by group discussion and step-by-step lesson planning
based on school context for each group. Theoretical aspects answer to real teaching praxis so they help
to create easily CLIL lessons which are presented at the end of the course.
Methodology
Carmen Lucas is a Primary bilingual teacher, expert in ICT and new
methodologies. She is member of the R&D department for new
technologies at her school and has taught several workshops about
PBL, blogs and wikis, CLIL learning and other current educational
issues.
As a teacher, she has taught from infants to adults and currently with
pre-teens, offering teachers an approachable, practical and
meaningful learning to apply in the classroom.
