Norwich is a wonderful fusion of the modern
and historic; as well as being the most
complete medieval city in the UK, it has a
flourishing arts, music and cultural scene –
it became England’s first UNESCO City
of Literature in 2012 – as well as superb
shopping and a multitude of fine restaurants.
Being the only English city in a National Park
(the Norfolk Broads), the countryside in
and around Norwich is stunning and
easily accessible.
The city is quickly establishing itself as a
centre of innovation and learning, with the
University of East Anglia ranked within the top
ten higher education institutions in the UK for
the quality of its research outputs. The nearby
Norwich Research Park also hosts a vibrant
community of world-leading scientists. Set in
the historic Cathedral Close in the heart of the
city, the school is ideally located for our pupils
to take full advantage of the rich academic and
cultural life of the city and its surroundings.
With an international airport and rail links
to London in under two hours, Norwich
has excellent transport links.

“This school really challenged me and
gave me lots of opportunities to excel. The
homestay arrangement gave me the space
I needed to concentrate on my work and,
more importantly, to really improve my
English. I also got so many opportunities
to perform and entertain.”

and Further Maths in his A Level
examinations and is currently reading
Mathematics at Cambridge.

AYANO LEONG FROM SINGAPORE
“The school really helps with our integration
into the UK education system. Living in
someone else’s home as an alternative to
boarding seems a frightening thought initially,
but it becomes a place of comfort in no time.
We get to be up close with the locals and we
can learn a lot from each other. They are very
happy when I bring them good news, but
I can also confide in them when I have
troubles. At Norwich School I am thriving
and I wouldn’t want to be anywhere else
now. Being here has taught me more about
self-awareness and, of course, to be a lot
more independent. I wouldn’t have believed
studying abroad for the first time could be so
easy – there is a degree of culture shock and
homesickness at first – but now, I am just so
busy, there is no time for this!”
PETER KEI FROM HONG KONG
“Norwich School really brought out the
best in me. I had a really enjoyable time
studying my academic subjects. Doing
Fine Art at Norwich School was a whole
new experience. I also had opportunities
to explore many sports, including rugby
and hockey, which were great fun!”
Peter achieved an A in Fine Art, an A in
Maths and a B in Physics in his A Level
