Are You Servant to the Lender? The Bible is quite clear on the subject of debt. “Let no debt remain outstanding” (NIV), “Owe no man anything” (KJV). So why do we uti-lize debt to pay for what we want and need? While scripture is quite clear on debt, the Bible does not answer when should we borrow money. We read in Proverbs 22:7 “The rich rule over the poor, and the borrower is servant to the lender” (NIV). If we are in severe debt, we will be ruled by lenders and not by God. Today more than ever, we are inundated with incentives to borrow money, and told that getting out of debt is easy. Join us this weekend as we learn how to handle debt. - Kyle Lamb
