ABOUT PACE ACADEMY

OUR CET PROGRAMMESPACE Academy offers CET programmes in five broad categories:

Part-Time Diploma Programmes PACE Academy offers part-time diploma courses under the Ministry of Education’s Continuing Education and Training (CET) Qualification Framework. Besides diplomas, there are three types of Post Diploma courses. They are the Advanced Diploma, Specialist Diploma and Diploma (Conversion) courses.

Singapore Workforce Skills Qualifications (WSQ) Programmes PACE Academy supports the Workforce Singapore (WSG) in providing programmes certified through the WSQ Framework. PACE offers various programmes ranging from individual modules to full qualifications in the WSQ framework.

Earn and Learn Programmes The Earn and Learn programme is a work-study programme designed to give fresh polytechnic graduates a head-start in careers related to their discipline of study. It provides them with more opportunities to build on the skills and knowledge they acquired in school, and to better support their transition into the workforce.

SkillsFuture (SF) Series SkillsFuture (SF) Series is an initiative under the national SkillsFuture movement. We offer a list of short and modular industry-relevant training programmes in eight essential emerging skills areas:

• Data Analytics • Tech-Enabled Services • Cyber Security • Advanced Manufacturing • Finance • Digital Media • Entrepreneurship (Business Management) • Urban Solutions

SF Series Courses are tiered across three proficiency levels: Basic, Intermediate and Advanced.

Online Programmes on ePACE PACE Academy keeps moving in the fore front of e-Learning and this portal provides the focal point of our e-Learning efforts for the adult learners. There are several programmes from short courses such as Operationally Ready (ORD) boys and Preparatory courses for University to skill based courses in different fields.

Certification Programmes These are programmes leading to professional certifications or licensing. Examples include: • Certificate of Competency (CoC) Course for Deck and Marine Officers • Steam Engineering 1st and 2nd Grade Certification • Certificate for Employment Agency • Boiler Attendant Class 1 & 2

Workshop/Seminars These are programmes with shorter durations catering to specific needs of individuals or organisations. Some of these programmes are funded by the Skills Development Fund (SDF). Some of these programmes are offered using the e-learning mode through our e-Academy.

Customised Programmes These are programmes customised to the needs of organisations. PACE Academy is able to harness the strengths and expertise of the academic schools in our polytechnic and our partners in industry to package specific and targeted training programmes for organisations.

SkillsFuture Credit eligible

SKILLSFUTURE SUBSIDIESTo ensure the courses in the SkillsFuture series are affordable, the funding of the courses includes:

SKILLSFUTURE CREDITSingaporeans aged 25 years and above who received their SkillsFuture Credit account activation letter will be eligible for an initial credit of $500 which can be used to pay for course fees for a range of eligible skills-related courses. The credits can be used on top of existing course fee subsidies/funding. This is only applicable for self-sponsored applicants. Application via SkillsFuture Portal can only be made starting from 30 days before the course commencement date.

NATIONAL SILVER ACADEMYThe National Silver Academy (NSA) offers a wealth of learning opportunities that were never before so widely available to the seniors. NSA’s courses focus not just on work skills, but life skills in fields as varied as gerontology, media, design, finance, IT, the humanities and the arts among others.

Eligible seniors can enjoy subsidies when taking short courses under the NSA. Singaporean seniors who want to participate in exam-free modules at the PSEIs only need to pay a token fee.

UNION TRAINING ASSISTANCE PROGRAMME (UTAP)UTAP is a training benefit for NTUC members to defray their cost of training. This benefit is to encourage more NTUC members to go for skills upgrading. NTUC members enjoy 50% *unfunded course fee support for up to $250 each year when you sign up for courses supported under UTAP.

*Unfunded course fee refers to the balance course fee payable after applicable government subsidy. This excludes GST, registration fees, misc. fees etc.
