The Loci series harnesses the efficient technology of fiber optics, allowing for expansive custom installations that glow like a galaxy of stars. Loci, which in Latin means ‘centralized sources of power,’ refers to the series’ innovative method of achieving hundreds or thousands of singular points of light in an installation.
Rather than using many individual bulbs, which would gobble energy and require frequent maintenance, Loci installations are powered by only a small handful of ultra-bright, energy-efficient LEDs. Fiber optic cables flawlessly carry the light from the hidden light sources, dispersing it to the ends of the fibers. Frosted acrylic catches and diffuses the light, imparting a candlelit glow.

Interested in a custom Loci Installation for your space? Working with us is easy. Just contact our Seattle studio to be put in touch with our designers. We will develop a site-specific fixture to meet your budget, and the requirements of your space.
It is helpful for us to have PDF or CAD drawings of the space, and a loose design concept or inspiration point to begin.

Contact our Seattle studio for a quote. If you have an existing budget, just let us know and we can work within it. Please note that there is a minimum Loci fixture price of $7,500. Typical fixture cost is $50-$80 per pendant. 40hrs of design time is included in the price.

- Desired dimensions (approximate) of the fixture.
- Preferred canopy type, and/or material (see page 3)
- Preferred pendant type - cube or candle (see page 3)

loci fixture components
(1) LED illuminator: lights the entire fixture, and is hardwired or plugged into a junction box.
(2) Fiber optic cable: carries the light from the illuminator and lights the pendants at each end.
(3) Canopy: hangs from the ceiling to conceal the illuminator and the bulk of the fiber optic cables.
(4) Pendant: frosted acrylic cubes or candles which are illuminated by the ends of the fiber optic cable.

Available pendants include 2x2” frosted acrylic cubes, or frosted acrylic “candles” ranging in length from 3-10.”
Other pendant types or materials may be available at an additional cost.

canopy options
Canopies are available in two types: solid or open.
Solid canopies may blend into surrounding ceilings, and completely conceal everything above. Finished or painted wood is our standard option for solid canopies, although steel and acrylic is also available.
Open canopies are made of blackened steel channel, and are available as a circular or rectangular frame. These are more visually lightweight and do not conceal the ceiling above.
Both types of canopies mount with threaded rod or steel cable.

We use 2mm fiber optic cable with black jacketing. 1mm White jacketed fiber is available, although it has lower light output.

We use an 80W LED illuminator with an external 24V power supply. It is available with an optional dimming module. See page 4 for product spec sheet.

ION-8000 WHITE OUTDOOR LED ILLUMINATORAPPLICATION
The ION-8000 Series LED Light Source is a multi-controllable light engine designed for the outdoor architectural, pool and spa industry . This light source can be used as a standalone or can be programmable using DMX 512, RS232 SERIAL, RF and Simple Dimmer Controller.
HIGH CONTROL RESOLUTION
The ION-8000 LED Light Source supports a 15-bit control resolution per output channel for accurate dimming and fine color mixing.
LOW EMI
Slow-rate controlled dimming and shielded conductors keep the driver’s EMI emissions at a very low level.
ROBUST THERMAL MANAGEMENT
The ION’s Sync® module creates turbulent, pulsated air-jets that can be directed precisely to locations where thermal management is needed. The vortex-dominated SynJet flow enhances small-scale mixing near the heated surfaces to yield higher effective heat transfer at low-volume flow rates compared to conventional air movers. The SynJet flow is created using a patented actuator technology and proprietary fluidic packaging expertise.
