Tours are self-guided through Greene Hall, the Veterinary Education Center, the Bailey Small Animal Teaching Hospital and the J.T. Vaughan Large Animal Teaching Hospital exhibits. Follow the animal footprints and signs as you navigate across campus. As you tour, CVM students will answer questions and point you to different exhibits of interest. The Bailey Small Animal Teaching Hospital is open for business. Therefore, please respect signs and/ or barriers which limit access in the building. This is for your safety as well as for the protection of those in our care. Members of the incoming Class of 2022 and their families are invited to meet in room 101 of Veterinary Education Center (first-year classroom) at 9 a.m. for an orientation with staff from the Office of Academic Affairs. A prospective student presentation, open to the public, will be held at 10:30 a.m. in Overton Auditorium in the VEC. Auburn University’s College of Veterinary Medicine, the oldest in the South and the country’s seventh oldest veterinary program celebrating 125 years. We are one of the nation’s pre-eminent institutions for research, teaching, diagnostics,and compre- hensive medical care for animals. The mission of the college is to prepare individuals for careers of excellence in veterinary medicine, including private and public practice, industrial medicine, academics and research. The Biomedical Sciences graduate program leads to both the Master of Science (M.S.) and Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degrees in biomedical sciences. The college has 109 faculty members and a current enrollment of 540 professional DVM and graduate students. The college has more than 6,500 alumni throughout all 50 states. For more than 30 years, Open House has showcased the various educational opportunities offered through the veterinary medical profession at the Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine.
