ABSTRACTThe project entitled as DEPARTMENTAL STORE ADMINISTRATION SYSTEM for Sree Sree Departmental Store, Pollachi. The main project is developed using VISUAL BASIC .Net as Front End and SQL server 2005 as Back End tool. The main aim of this project is to computerize the existing system, which is done manually.The Departmental Stores Management System is targeted to automate all the processes mentioned to reduce the clerical labor of the staff working in Stores both technical and accounts department using the software Industrys latest technologies and cost effective tools there by providing the better control to the management by avoiding manual errors etc.., The store is maintaining a record of a wide range of items that it deals with. Once the product is received from the manufacturer or distributor it creates a record for the same, this include item code, packing code, quantity loaded etc., The sales of the product is classified mainly into purchase and delivery. The manual system consumes more time while obtaining any information. And so by computerizing the time computation will be very easy for the operator to computerize all the process.
