Adequate sleep is very necessary for the body to function normally. When someone sleep regeneration process occurs to restore the stamina to be in optimal condition. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between stress and sleep quality in SMA Negeri 1 Grogol Kediri District 2015 design of this research is analytical research correlates with the cross-sectional method. The population in this study were all students of class XI in SMA Negeri 1 Grogol Kediri District 2015. The sampling technique used was simple random sampling with 53 samples. The independent variables studied were stress the questioner sheet and the dependent variable is the quality of the sleep questionnaire. Data analysis was done by Spearman rank test with a 0.05 significance level used results showed values of 0.001 p-value <I- 0.05, then Ho is rejected and Hi accepted. There is a relationship between stress and sleep quality in sisw SMA 1 Grogol Kediri regency in 2015 with coefient collerati of r 0.791, meaning that if the high stress it will be followed by an increase in loss of quality sleep. Suggested for asien and families to pay attention to the quality of sleep to prevent complications of hypertension and for health workers to create an environment that imitate so as to improve the quality of patient tidui It is advisable for the respondent in order to know about the importance of coping mechanism to stress so as to maintain the quality of sleep.
