AB10 Single Point Harness

A basic full body harness, with single

general work application where there is a

risk of falling.

ABRES Rescue Harness

A full body harness with three attachment

ABBC Bosuns Chair

This is a lightweight (3.8kg) and

comfortable unit, which serves a stable

work platform for the user. Features

include tool pockets, neoprene seat cover

and foot bar. The user should always

wear a fall arrest harness in addition to

the bosuns chair.

ABAOP Optional Overhead Attachment

Point

Manufactured specifically to fit to the

AB10RES & AB20SLRES harnesses the

overhead attachment holds the user in a

vertical position whilst working or being

raised or lowered. The overhead

attachment point is attached to the

shoulder points by karabiners, the

aluminium spacer prevents the discomfort

of the webbing chaffing the side of the

head.

ABNAP Abtech Rescue Triangle

A rescue triangle suitable for raising and

lowering both adults and children. The

positioning of the attachment point holds

the user in a near vertical position for

extraction from a confined space with

limited access.

ABFB1 Access Pro

Rear dorsal attachment point for fall

arrest and rescue of user. Front ‘D’ for fall

arrest and rescue of user. The soft loops

that link the belt to the chest can be used

to facilitate abseiling, ascending and

descending and the attachment of

another person for rescue. Side ‘D’s are

for work positioning and the comfort belt

with tool loops for lumber support. May

be used with seat strop.

An adjustable padded waist belt.

The user of the Rescue Step can stand in

comfort awaiting rescue. The Rescue

Step adjusts to any height of person and

it may be fitted retrospectively to any

harness.

Shock absorbing Twin Lanyards

These Lanyards are designed for fall

protection, complete with an integral

shock absorber, which in the event of a

fall minimises the force exerted on the

user. Having twin connections allows the

user freedom of movement without the

risk of being unattached at any time. The

lanyards are 1.45m in length and are

available with a full range of connectors.

Shock absorbing Lanyards

These Lanyards are designed for fall

protection, complete with an integral

shock absorber, which in the event of a

fall minimises the force exerted on the

user. The standard Abtech shock

absorbing lanyard comes complete with

screwgate Karabiner (CMO3) at each

end. A choice of Karabiners, Scaffold

Hooks and connectors are available as

an option. The lanyards are a maximum

of 2.0m in length.

Restraint Lanyards

These lanyards are designed to restrict

the users movements to prevent access

to an area where a fall may occur. These

15m Fall Arrest device from the TORQ

range. Designed to provide fall

protection from falls from height.

Anchored above the user, it gives the

user a safe area of work. The retracting

line pays in and out of the device as the

18561 Man Riding Winch (30 metre)

The UCL two speed 100ft winch, is

designed specifically for confined space

entry/retrieval. Man rated for lowering,

raising or supporting personnel. The load

can only be moved if the handle is

turned, a friction brake is engaged by a

weight of 10lbs (4.5 Kg). An inertia brake

backs up the triple redundant braking

mechanism. The digital counter monitors

usage.

Mounting brackets available to mount

onto the Tripod or Davit.

WO1 Work Winch

The winch can be used for material

handling or with a secondary system for

man riding. When raising or lowering

personnel, a back-up system must be

used. Due to a positive pawl engagement

the load can only be moved when the

handle is turned. With a high mechanical

efficiency (1:9) raising and lowering

require little effort.

The winch is a portable piece of

equipment of robust construction and is

designed to withstand the wear and tear

of daily use. With a safe working load of

350kg and a rope length of 35m, the

winch is well suited to repeated use over

a confined space.

ABT3 Two Person Tripod

The tripod is the basis of a confined space entry and rescue

system giving a strong, stable, and portable anchorage point

for fall arrest and recovery systems. One worker can carry and

erect the sturdy but lightweight aluminium alloy Tripod.

For tripod stability, the tripod legs may be indivdualy adjusted.

The T3 has 6 anchor points tested to EN795. The 3 overhead

pulleys hold up to 11mm rope. The extra anchor points may be

used with pulleys for a double roped rescuer, back-up system,

airlines, communication lines, medical kits, tool kits etc.

RT3 Two Person Rescue Tripod

The RT3 has 6 anchor points tested to EN795. The 3 overhead

pulleys hold up to 11mm rope. The extra swivel anchor points

allow a rescuer to double rope and may be used with pulleys

for airlines, communication lines, medical kits, tool kits etc.

Mechanical Prusik and automatic belay devices may be

attached to the eyebolts.

For tripod stability, the tripod legs may be indivdualy adjusted.

For extra stability: lanyards may be attached to the feet and

pinned to the floor; anchor lines may be attached to the eye

bolts on the tripod head.

The height of the tripod enables a casualty on a stretcher

raised vertically to be lifted clear of the entrance.

This Tripod has detachable legs for portability and storage.

SLIX 100

A robust, compact and lightweight stretcher. The flexible

material combined to a smooth finish allows easy sliding and

permits the stretcher to be rolled width ways or lengthways to

facilitate transport. Strong handles around the stretcher allow

easy manoeuvrability. The stretcher may be hauled vertically or

horizontally. The lifting strops secure and allow the stretcher to

mould around the casualty.

The Abtech Stretcher is designed to be used with the Abtech

Two Person Tripod for confined space rescue.

Also available is a head and torso splint. A flotation insert

supplied with the splint to allow the casualty and stretcher to

SLIX 100 XL

Bariatric stretcher for transporting or evacuating clinically

obese patients.

The SLIX50

The SLIX50 is an ‘arm’s out’ stretcher for extrication of

casualties through very small openings. This stretcher was

designed to overcome a severe extraction problem. Adding

only 6mm to the girth the SLIX50 is the ultimate in skinny

confined space stretchers.

With 4 x 400k rated haul and security line attachment points,

crutch straps and the facility to incorporate the SLIX Spinal

Splint makes the SLIX50 a very versatile stretcher, now with

the added capacity of a semi-horizontal haul.

The SLIX50 has a vertical hauling capability and an optional

skirt is included (SLIX50 AR). The optional AR (articulated)

Skirt wraps around the upper legs - giving extra handling

straps and leg protection. The flexible attachment to the

SLIX50 skin, allows a degree of bending in those very tight

places. The Skirt may be detached if not required.

The SLIX50 Combined has a permanent Spinal Splint

attached.

RS100 Stretcher

Rollup stretcher stored and carried in a backpack. Available

with a comfort mattress or a vacuum mattress that holds the

casualty in position or a spinal splint with integral flotation

insert . Suitable for a horizontal helicopter lift and rescue from

height. May also be used vertically to extricate a casualty from

a confined space with limited access.

PATIENT PACKAGING

Things to take into consideration when buying a stretcher:

CV collar must be applied to the patient

before they are moved.

Different options are available for immobolising the casualty,

depending on their injuries

To immobolise the casualty further and to

lift them, spine boards should be used.

Once immobolised, the casualty is ready

to be placed in a stretcher for transport.

Rope Grab (353-2)

Designed for fall arrest it can also be

used as a travelling anchor point. Forged

from high strength alloy.

Suitable for rope size 11 – 13mm

ABRP Manual Rope Grab

This unit is used to provide fall protection.

The unit is an anchor extension, it can be

locked onto any part of a 16mm rope and

will not move until the user compresses

the spring loaded cam lever. Ideal for use

as a pole belt adjuster.

Adjustable anchor point for fall arrest and

restraint.

ABRR Auto Rope Grab

This unit is used to provide fall protection

on ladders or when climbing vertical

structures. Operating on 16mm rope only

the system provides an economic

secondary lifeline for suspended work

positioning systems or confined space

access systems. The rope grab moves

freely on the rope in both directions. If a

fall occurs the camming lever is activated

arresting the fall. The rope grab is

detachable at any point on the rope

Ascenders

(RP210 & RP250)

Designed for ascending and locking rope. The frames are

machined from high strength aluminium alloy finished by a hard

anodising with a stainless steel cam.

Right hand and left hand ascenders are available in tow

versions – The Pro (RP210) with two sling holes and the Pro-

One (RP250) with one sling hole.

Suitable for rope size 10 – 13mm.

Petzl I’D Descender

For descending a rope and for belaying, with an anti-panic

function.

*Anti-error safety catch to reduce the risk of an accident

due to incorrect installation of the device on the rope.

*Anti-panic function: if the user pulls too hard on the

handle, the cam will lock on the rope.

*Locking position on the handle for positioning while on the

rope.

*When used for hauling, allows the system to be reversible.

CRP70 Canvas Rope Protector

This rope protector forms a tube through

which the rope can pass. Velcro patches

make the protector adjustable in size.

The unit can be anchored in position over

an edge or can be anchored to the rope

itself to protect a particular part of the

rope.

EP PLUS – Edge Rope Protector Plus

This edge protector is manufactured from

a canvas resistant to wear. The rope is

protected from any abrasion from an

edge by locating the edge protector

between the rope and the edge.

The Edge Protector Plus has

polyurethane stiffeners sewn into the

canvas. This makes the protector more

rigid which stops the rope jamming into

cracks. The stiffeners also aid the raising

of a rescuer or casualty up and over an

edge. Reinforced eyelets allow the Edge

Protector to been secured in position.

TUFF-STEP

The TUFF-STEP offers a stable, adjustable, portable step.

The lightweight design means it can be easily transported.

Numerous steps can be added for the desired length.

The TUFF-STEP can be used on almost any surface. The

20mm spikes grip into difficult surfaces such as grass

embankments, which would normally require rope attachment

to manoeuvre up and down. The TUFF-STEP can be used as

a ladder by attaching a stringer base.

The angle of the TUFF-STEP is easily adjusted and can be set

to ten different degrees of steepness.

Optional handrails are available at the required length. Carry

bags are also available.

VRS - VERTICAL RESCUE SYSTEM

The VRS is designed for the rescue of one person by another

individual unassisted.

The VRS is for use on a person who has had a fall arrested

and is left hanging on a lanyard, webbing or wire rope line.

The faller may be raised or lowered to a safe position.

When the faller is raised the rescuer has a 4:1 mechanical

advantage, which reduces the effort required.

The upper pulley wheels lock when the faller is being lowered.

This increased friction allows the rescuer to lower the

faller effortlessly.

A rescue pole is used to ‘fish’ for the fallers’ harness

attachment point.

The rescue pole is sturdy and adjustable. The

rescue karabiner has a large opening which

assists with locating the attachment point.

The VRS may be attached to front or rear

attachment point on a harness.

The CONTAINER SAFE System:

*Is an adjustable Restraint System which fits all sizes of

container and portacabin.

*It allows the user full safe access to all areas of a container

roof.

VWR1 - Vertical Work & Rescue System

The VWR1 is a manually operated man

rated raising and lowering system. It has

been designed as both a rescue system

and a work positioning device for use at

height and in confined spaces. The VWR1

Rope Utility may be used by a rescuer or

worker to position themselves, or to raise

and lower another worker/rescuer. The

system has been designed to be capable

of lifting or lowering a two person load

(272kg).

CW001 Capstan Winch

This self-tailing winch is suitable for two

person working, it is durable, lightweight

and easy to use. However this device

should only be used with a secondary

safety system (secondary rope and rope

grab).

The capstan is mounted on a lightweight

aluminium plate that may be fitted to the

Tripod or by fixing to the four anchor

holes can be anchored with ropes into

the required position.

HONOROPE-T

A simple and quick to install temporary horizontal rope system.

The HONOROPE-T gives up to 5 users a safe temporary

anchor system up to 25 meters in length.

May be used in combination with lanyards or fall arrest blocks.

HONOROPE-T components are: 1) special

developed 25 meter long, very flexible, kernmantel

rope, eyelet on one side through HoPress®, 2)

Stainless Steel Rope Vice Tensioner for rapid

installing, 3) two pear shaped Scaffold Hooks

(quicklock), 4) optional pulley block (for Fall Arrest

Block) and bag to complete the kit.

Temporary Horizontal Life Line

The flexible fall arrest system can be

installed simply and quickly and is ideal

for temporary work at height. The

adjustable horizontal life line may be

used in two ways to secure a person to a

structure of 15kN SWL.

It may be attached directly to a structure

via a fixed anchorage at both ends.

Alternately wrap an anchorage strop

about the structure using a 30kN

karabiner.

10476 - 6’ to 10’ Adjustable Pole Hoist

The lightweight pole hoist is an extremely versatile piece of

confined space entry/retrieval and rescue equipment. Simply

karabiner the universal attachment ring to a suitable anchor

point to work in any direction from any angle.

Overall the length adjusts 6’ - 10’ ft. for positioning attendant or

working in close quarters.

Designed for use with all UCL Safety Systems winches &

available with an optional leg assembly to support winch and

ease operation.

Counterweight System

The UCL Counterweight System is composed of a central base

unit to accommodate a variety of anchoring options, positioning

and adjustment legs, and extension assemblies.

Anchoring options include a weight rack for counter balanced

applications, a rail clamp assembly for anchorage to railway

track rails, and a wheel pad assembly to allow counter balance

of the unit with an attendant vehicle.

The Adjustable Free-Standing Ladder Access System with

Fall-Protection combines easy access to elevated work areas

with Fall-Protection from the ground up for the duration of the

work being performed. Each unit comes standard with

adjustable handrails, foam protected platform, two anchor

davits and a fall-arrest ladder anchor which provide a total of

three attachment points for the anchorage of a Personal Fall-

Arrest System (PFAS).

The UCL Portable Tanker Access Ladder System (PTALS)

is designed to provide safe access and fall-protection for

workers to elevated work areas such as rail cars, tankers and

large platforms.

The Free-Standing Horizontal Rail Fall-Arrest System

combines the simplicity of a horizontal rail and trolley system

with a portable support structure to provide reliable fall-

protection where it’s needed, when it’s needed. The Free-

Standing Horizontal Rail Fall-Arrest System is ideal for work on

or near sensitive equipment, such as aircraft, where physical

contact is undesirable. Each system comes standard with a

single track rail and two individual man-rated rail trolleys for

anchorage of a Personal Fall-Arrest System (PFAS). The

moved by hand and can be precisely placed to provide
