Alternatives Pregnancy Center cares for Denver-area women and men in pregnancy-related crisis and offers them a meaningful alternative to abortion. Following the example of Christian love, we seek to meet emotional, physical and spiritual needs. And we enable and encourage women and men to choose life every day.

Abundant lifeA JOURNEY THROUGH 2017 CLIENT SERVICESWalk with us through a year of serving 5,539 teens, women and men who discovered Alternatives and A Promising Future.
Thanks to local ambassadors, referrals and advertising … Over 2,370 client-related phone calls came in to our 24-Hour Helpline
2,077 clients experienced face-to-face care and support at our multiple Denver-metro area office locations, including our Mobile Testing Clinic
Because we encourage women and men to choose life … 816 women received free pregnancy tests with options counseling so they could take
time to make an informed decision; 490 pregnancy tests were positive
394 ultrasounds were provided, giving women and their partners a window into their life decisions
271 births were recorded and celebrated in our book of life representing those clients who gave written permission for us to stay in contact with
them; additional births continue to be recorded as clients contact us in 2018
Because we show compassion no matter what choice is made … 279 client contacts were made for Counseling After Abortion support and resources including 44 clients who participated in counseling and support groups to navigate their journey of growth and healing
958 tests were administered for sexually transmitted diseases to 102 women who also received counseling to re-evaluate their sexual choices
And because healthy decisions begin with education … 2,548 hours of relationship education were delivered by A Promising Future in classes, school assemblies and community workshops, reaching 1,585 youth, families and community partners, achieving our goal of more focused whole-person learning
424 hours of training in the A Promising Future© curriculum, formerly titled The Diamond Standard, was completed with our team of instructors in preparation for our formal curriculum evaluation
55 students successfully participated in the pilot study of our curriculum and self-reported a statistically significant increase in their perceived quality of life from our in-depth instruction
90 students began the formal evaluation’s clinical study phase, forming the first sample group for the project
Thanks to a community that lives out its passion for life … 1,293 dedicated volunteers served in every aspect of our ministry and we’ve invested in them with hours of training to deliver 11,550 hours of counseling, medical services and education to our clients
2,488 clients have been blessed by financial and material gifts 376 bottles of prenatal vitamins 209 gift layettes, with diapers, providing a baby shower in a bag 33 A Season to Heal books 1,271 community and medical resource guides, pregnancy books and grocery gift cards
