Sliding the brushed aluminum top cover to the left reveals a dock for iPod/iPhone and an easy-to-read graphical LCD that displays song information when streaming via Ethernet. The sleek, elegant theme is maintained by touch-sensor buttons that give you seamless control of your music sources. The system is mounted on a solid brushed aluminum foot-base that matches the top cover. Meanwhile, three-mode underside illumination brings a subtle ambient glow to your bedroom or other space.

So Many Ways to Enjoy Your Music(1) Built-in Dock for iPod/iPhone The ABX-N300’s built-in dock for iPod/iPhone lets you play back all your favorite music and podcasts in a variety of audio formats. Your iPod/iPhone is automatically recharged whenever it sits in the dock, and you can operate major functions on the device with the ABX-N300’s remote controller.(2) Internet Radio and Music Streaming Services Accessing the internet via Ethernet or Wi-Fi, the ABX-N300 brings streaming audio and internet radio to your listening space. Enjoy a virtually limitless choice of internet radio channels from vTuner. (3) AirPlay Ready Being compatible with Apple’s AirPlay protocol, the ABX-N300 offers a range of playback possibilities with iTunes and iPod. You can send iPod touch/iPhone/iPad audio to it wirelessly—in real time—and hear it with far superior depth and fidelity. Or you can enjoy wireless playback of iTunes audio from your Mac or Windows PC, and use Apple’s remote app to control iTunes from your iPod touch/iPhone.

(4) Home Network CapabilityThe ABX-N300’s home network capability lets you share your music seamlessly between devices. You can send a range of audio files stored on your home PC or media server to the ABX-N300, even if it’s set up in another room. Supported file types include MP3, WMA, AAC and WAV.

Active Bass ControlAt quiet volume levels, human hearing becomes less sensitive to sounds at the upper and lower ends of the audible spectrum. To compensate for the perceived loss of bass sounds at lower volumes, the ABX-N300 incorporates Onkyo’s proprietary Active Bass Control. This function maintains an optimal balance of low-frequency sounds by making automatic, real-time adjustments in line with the playback volume. Listeners are able to enjoy smooth and natural-sounding bass at any volume level.
