The Passages profile is intended for high school graduates whose academic record indicates a need for additional academic support. It is designed to teach students the necessary academic skills to succeed in college studies, strengthen their oral and written communication skills, and develop their self confidence and motivation. Students are encouraged to explore the available resources and to build a strong support network at Vanier College, as well as to choose a program that best suits their interests and abilities. Students may take up to a maximum of seven courses. Credits earned for English, Humanities, French and Physical Education courses can be applied to all DEC programs. The Prerequisites profile is a preparatory session for students who want to acquire mathematics and science prerequisites to apply for admission to a Science or a Career DEC program. Students may take up to a maximum of seven courses. English, Humanities, French and Physical Education courses can be applied to all DEC programs. COMPULSORY COURSES:

This course is designed to prepare students for the rigors of college education and to help students explore various academic and career options. You will also learn about the wide choice of college programs that are available, and start to think about a future career based on your skills, abilities, and values.

Explorations Transition is a preparatory session designed for students with previous CEGEP studies who wish to take mathematics and science prerequisites to apply for admission to a Science or a 3 year career/technology program. Students must register for a minimum course load of 12 hours per week (180 hours per semester) but may take up to a maximum of 7 courses. English, Humanities, French and Physical Education courses can be applied to all DEC programs. PREREQUISITE COURSES: Students will be preregistered in a course(s) from the list below that satisfy the prerequisite(s) of the program in which they have indicated on the SRAM application.

Humanities courses are general culture courses that pertain to the

human condition. Courses are multidisciplinary in approach and

are divided into three categories:
