by engaging Club members in high yield activities, standards aligned
projects, homework help and recognition.

Summer Brain Gain

Program Pathway: Foundational Academics
Age Level: 6 - 18
Brief Description: Summer Brain Gain adds engaging, educational
activities to the typical summer Club experience. It adds weekly thematic
modules that build to a final, culminating project or event. Many of the
weekly modules are based on Project Based Learning principles and involve
working in groups.
Learning Objectives: Retention of school year learning, standards aligned
based on age, self efficacy, course completion, motivation, goal setting

Program Age Description
Media Making 9 – 18 Youth learn to express themselves but also to create new works using digital tools and resources.
Music Matters 6 - 18 Create a Youth Program music program with this resource.
Visual 101 12 - 18 Focusing on the use of photography youth will learn fundamental principles of taking and editing photos.
Lyricism 101 10 – 18 Through the art of hip hop youth learn more about the history and process while making their own piece.
