Hagi Sightseeing BoatEnjoy the Hagi scenery by boat. Thecourse takes 40 minutes, with anexplanation by the captain (inJapanese).

Hagi CastleRuins

Hagi Castle was builtin 1604 by Mōri Terumoto. Itwas dismantled in 1874, butpart of the moat and the stonebase on which the castle oncestood can still be seen today.

Kaimagari A particular twisting road foundonly in the castle town area.The road’s surface has beenlaid in keeping with the Edo pe-riod scenery.

The Kido Takayoshi House, Aoki Shūsuke House, Former Yukawa FamilyResidence, the Katsura Tarō House, the Town Villa of Itō Hirobumi, the FormerKubota Family Residence, the Kuchiba House, the Former Tanaka Villa and the MainHouse of the Asa Mōri Mansion cost ¥100 per visitor (free to under 12s).

◇When included with a joint ticket for Shizuki Park, the main house of the Asa Mōrimansion costs ¥210.

MishimaIsland Situated approximately 45km offHagi in the Sea of Japan. Mishima ishome to the Mishima-ushi, thought tobe the oldest breed of cow in Japan,and the Mishima tortoise, both of

which have been designatedas National Monuments.
