For more than 25 years, the V.I.T.-Group has been an expert partner in the inter-national paper industry. Its spin-off of the V.I.T. Papertec AG, as full range supplier for spare and wear parts, followed in the year 2002.

Being an innovative and strong partner in the paper industry we offer the most extensive range of products: precision metering rods, metering rod beds and related equipment such as blades, dewatering elements and knives.

Which material quality fits the requirements? Do you need the premium product or is the top quality entry-level model sufficient? It is most impor-tant to us that your produc-tion works efficiently and you achieve excellent price / per-formance ratio.

We are the only manufacturer that produces metering rods and has them coated in Eu-rope’s biggest hard chrome-plating facility, both under one roof. At our production site in Arnsberg, Germany, we have our own coating plant which allows us to create new coat-ings and to adapt them to the requirements of our custom-ers’ machines.

Our premium coating TITAN features an extremely hard coating with a very low surface roughness. It has a highly wear resistant anti-erosion layer and ex-tremely low frictional resistance while maintaining an improved surface quality. Its application areas are smooth and profiled metering rods.

Achieved through a special high velocity procedure, our PLATIN-coatings fea-ture one of the hardest wear resistant surfaces which is known. This extremely hard platinum treatment is used for smooth precision metering rods.

Our baffle plates offer excellent adjustability, consistent overflow rates, high precision and best transfer rates of the medium onto the applicator roll. Available in standard and premium quality.

Our sealing blades are made of corrosion-free and wear-resistant materials with excellent surface quality and straightness. Our sealing blades are grinded specifically to minimize the risk of accidents. An even pre-dosage and levelling of the return flow film is achieved. The element supports the rod beam with an optimal cross direction to apply various media, e. g. low-viscous starch and high viscous coating colors.

SpecificationsThe COAT-VIT-TABLE is positioned next to the film press or coater in which the metering equipment is used. In this table all commodities for the metering unit are properly stored, i. e. metering rods and metering rod beds as well as all accessories like sealing blades, edge scrapes, etc.

The table has two sides (dirty and clean).

For the transport of our sensible metering units we use our special FLIGHT-CASES (standard for FSC customers and optional for all other customers). These guarantee safe transport to our customers. In our production plant the sensitive units are secured inside the FLIGHTCASES. The cases are equipped with wheels so they can be rolled directly to the film press or coater unit in the paper mill.

A high wear and abrasion resistance, as well as a very low frictional coefficient define our dewatering elements. A constant drainage characteristic is guar-anteed over the whole width of the machine. We supply foaming boards, foils and suction box covers in DUROVIT-PE, DUROVIT-PE-SI, DUROVIT-PE-Ceram and even in AL203 all ceramic.

CLEAN-VIT-Doctor Blades are very well suited for all applications in the wet and dry ends of a paper machine. We provide blades in more than 20 different material qualities, from conventional steel, bronze, monel and stainless steel, to DUROVIT-PE, fiberglass and carbon blades. All types and qualities are fitted to the different position and surface layers of each cylinder and roll.

Our high performance CUT-VIT circular top and bottom knives are specially developed to cut all types of paper grades in modern reel slitters. Excellent quality of cut, improved lifetime, reduced dust formation and an increase in speed are achieved. The reduced change interval affects the whole runability of a plant.

All kinds of popular creping blades, specifically developed for tissue mills, can be found in our range of products. They are ready to be installed in all customary lengths and holder systems.
