broad introduction to the theory and
practical application of accident and
incident investigation. The training
will give delegates confidence and
enable them to gather appropriate
information and contribute to the
development of safer and more
healthy working practices.

Training is suitable for line managers,
supervisors, safety representatives and anyone
with the responsibility for investigating
accidents.
Why is this training important?
This one day course will provide delegates with
an introduction to the principles and practice of
accident investigation. It will enable organisa-
tions to meet their moral and legal obligations
to investigate accidents and incidents and learn
from safety failure.

Recognise contributory human factors
Sate their organisations responsibilities under
RIDDOR
Practically apply the accident and incident process
to their workplace.
Generate a usable A+I report with recommenda-
tions to management.
Recognise the relevance and source of suitable
evidence.
Understanding of strategies to ensure the
organisation learns from safety failure.
