ACES 2011 Workshops
Academic Committee consists of 4 Tracks ,
2 of them is formed of 6 workshops affecting various fields an Engineer has to face in
today’s market, those tracks are
Life and Business Track Workshops
- Start up your own Project: Lately the new Start Ups contributed a lot to the
Economical status of the nation where it belongs, as it flourishes other industries and
solves the unemployment problems which significantly raise national income. This
workshop tackles the projects from just ideas till they live and last, passing through all
the stages of the projects from planning, financing, marketing, sales… etc. till pitching the
product to investors, funding. Besides dealing with all the problems that faces the team
like legalities, routine, conflicts, low funds…etc. Besides that it tackles the newest and
most effective ways to start the business in minimum time, for example E-business.
- Core dialogue: Considering the Human Being interactions within him and with
others. It focuses on resolving the human's conflict within himself to start resolving
other's problems and be like the candle that lights and let others light without being
affected. To spread awareness we shall start with self awareness to know its strengths
and weaknesses, and so mastering the strengths and well manage the weaknesses to bea competent person and consequently knowing how to influence others, and how to deal
with each and every type of people. It starts when you figure out the real person inside,
the hidden skills that shall inspire the world. And then showing the person who can well
interact as a part of an organization, as a part of a family, friends and most of all having
the influence power to spread his ideas and awareness to others.
- Management: consists of managing Resources related to administrative work
using planning, organizing and controlling as well as Leadership which is how to influenceyour followers to do their best, through well knowing oneself and how to deal with
others. Developing the Manager's mentality besides skills that enables him to manage
not only human, but also manage other resources like time, cost and quality. Going
through planning that enables him to overcome most of the problems and well manage
risks and crises. Also differentiating between different types of management and
consider the human as the main resources.

Technology Track Workshops:
a- Non-technical workshop
- RDI (Research, Development, and innovation): Research has always
been the main reason of nations' advancement as well as being the first step toward
nations' prosperity. As developing - the researcher's mind sets - leads to creating the
field of creation and innovation. Besides drawing the footsteps were development of
existing inventions/products/services/mindsets…etc. consequently the main target is to
develop creativity through having the research mentality to start applying new ideas and
craft a breakthrough.
b- Technical workshop
The 2 workshops' main concern is to solve problems through creativity and usingthe easiest and fastest techniques. These workshops may not carry out the programming
or networks as a science rather than a skill and a mentality to apply it to solve problems
and initiate new programs/ networks to serve the purpose. These workshops may
include any programs, problems, microcontrollers, languages ...etc. as programming is
one of the main controlling elements to successful organizations, however networks
contribute a lot to the efficiency, speed, and security of the data being transferred,
making it rather important to all companies to assess and well develop their information
technology their networks as well .

Juniors Track Workshops:
- Juniors workshop(s): This workshop(s) is intended for students at the Secondary
stage and any other equivalent stages to build the infra-structure for a brighter future,
held by people who are well determined and have all what it takes to raise Egypt's
standards. Such things should be learned in an earlier stage, and that’s why we target
people having the highest potentials in their earlier stage. Starting such awareness helpsin shaping of the personalities in such people helping them to set goals as well as
achieving them. It may approach topics that help raising the knowledge, attitude,
behavior and skills of these fresh minds.

Moderator-Post Job Description:
1) Being a role model
A moderator must become a role model and practices what he/she preach.
2) Preparing for the workshop and Conference
a. Set workshop's objectives & desired output from workshop.
b. Attending trainings to match the moderation level.
c. Meet with the workshop moderators to set and plan for the workshop
outlines and output.
d. Getting the conference idea and preparing the conference days details.
e. Knowing and identifying the final output.
f. Identifying the required resources and coordination with the OC.g. Prepare workshop brochure description.
h. Researching material and preparing it to be discussed.
i. Writing the background paper.
j. Interviewing the applicants & selecting the participants.
k. Preparing Trainings and Simulations to be delivered in the sessions.
l. Outlining the workshop identity, the one that will reflect on the
participants.
3) Moderating the workshop Conducting the workshop's presentations & simulations.
a. Monitoring and evaluating the participants.
b. Creating improvement profiles for each and every participant.
c. Working in coordination with their coordinators for (surveys, decorations,
videos, desired logistics support, etc).
d. Documentation of Workshop.
4) Investing in the organization
Investing the knowledge they have, inside & outside ACES, including other Crew
members and anyone
