TWO MORE ANNOUNCE THEIR COLLEGE COMMITMENTS! Last week, two players made their decisions on where they will be student-athletes at the collegiate level. A member of the 2018 Mizuno Aces squad, Pryce Jones gave his ver- bal commitment to take his talents to Army West Point. Jones, the leſty, is currently a junior at Indian River High School and cant wait to get rolling for spring baseball. Also, giving his commitment last week was 18U Will Geppert of Cape Henlopen High School. The speedy ouielder will be heading north next fall for the Massachu- ses Marime Academy. While Geppert will be following his path the be a riverboat pilot at the academy, he will also get a chance to play some ball in the process. The Aces are very proud of both these young men on their commitments. They deserve every bit of it! #GoAces THE POWER OF SOCIAL MEDIA: IN A POSITIVE LIGHT Just as much as social media can be negave for an individual or company, it also can have its perks. While we use our Delmarva Aces Facebook, Twier and Instagram profiles for reasons such as camps, communicaon and updates, we also use it to profile players whether it be hing or pitching techniques. Now, markeng our older players to colleges is happening more frequently. Just last week, an Instagram video was posted by the Aces on Jake Shockley, a member of the 2018 Mizuno Aces team and senior at Stephen Decatur. As we did not expect, the post went viral. In just a week, it has been viewed close to 60,000 mes, while also having 1,000 likes. Along with those views and likes came eight colleges from all around the country who inquired about Shock- ley. A powerful thing social media can be. Shockley can now aest to that, who has a few college visits already set. OWEN WEST TEAM: 10U EAST FRANKFORD, DEL. CHRISTMAS PARTY BRINGS

OUT HOLIDAY SPIRIT TO ALL! This past Saturday, December 17th the Delmarva Aces hosted their

annual Christmas Party at the Indoor Training Facility in Berlin. From

6-8pm, kids and families were able to come over and be around each

other for a few hours of fun, games and food. An array of snacks was

spread out by the awesome families that attended. Just like always,

the kids were able to play games such as dodgeball and football.

Aside from the games, there were a few new additions that were

also incorporated in the evening. Teams were set up accordingly and

set up for a gingerbread house making contest. However, to no sur-

prise, it was the group of girls who won the neatest and most put

together house over the boys. Toward the end of the night, a gift

exchange game took place and brought ear to ear smiles throughout

the facility!

Thank you to all that attended the Christmas Party and the evening

of holiday spirit. While the Aces are on break for the next few weeks,

we hope that you have a happy holiday season and we will see you

after the new year! #GoAces
