GLOOR acetylene generators ensure an independent and inexpensive
gas supply and
are everywhere an inexpensive alternative to dissolved acetylene
gas in cylinders, where
there is no regular gas supply or where there are high transport
and supply costs for the
cylinders from the filling station. The acetylene generators
offer a high safety standardand are easy and convenient to use.
Economical production of gasThe gas produced in the generator is
very favourablypriced. Moreover there is no inconvenience and costs
for
cylinder transport and maintenance.
Wide range of applicationsThe acetylene generator is suitable
for hard and softsoldering work and - in combination with oxygen
for allwelding and cutting operations. All normal welding,cutting
and soldering torches can be used withoutdifficulty.
Technically perfect designThe generators are extremely robust
and ensure trouble-free operation. They are made of thick steel
sheet and arehot galvanized (no wear). The generating chamber and
the
gas container are seperated and can be closed by stop-cocks.
Thus no harmful air space can occur on re-charging. Work can
immediately be resumed and thiswith pure gas.
A special advantage is the removable sludge trap. Thegenerator
water is conveniently filled here and the carbidesludge collects
here after gasification.

FIX The ideal small generator, lightweight, handy to use, yet
nevertheless very efficient. Thisis the favourite
assembly-generator for intermittent use and is particularly
suitable forsmaller repair shops.
UNIVERSAL I AND II The name itself implies what they are : all
purpose generators for workshop andassembly. These generators are
very efficient and even with the most intensive weldingand cutting
operations the pressure remains absolutely constant. They are the
preferredmodels for regular workshop use.
TRIUMPH I AND III These models are built to cope with the
demands of continous workshop operation.
Normally one of the generators is in operation, the other being
kept in reserve. Thechangeover can be made in a few seconds and the
empty generator is then re-chargedwhile work continues. The TRIUMPH
generators are well-known for their absolutelyuniform working
pressure and are suitable for the connection of several work
places.
Technical dataIt should be ensured that only coarse-lump carbide
of particle size 50/80 mm is used and that the carbide is free
ofcontamination. One kilo of high purity carbide produces approx.
300 l of acetylene. The hourly output specifiedbelow is for
continuous use. For brief use higher outputs of acetylene can also
be delivered, which is indicated bythe higher output per
quarter-hour.
