i Born to a very poor family at Munshipara under Jalpaiguri District in West Bengal with little support from the family, he came to Arunachal Pradesh for study in government- run schools at Itanagar with his father working in Arunachal Government. Though moved smoothly, his father expired suddenly during the early part of graduation which came as bolt from the blue to him. Despite hardship to sustain and continue his studies, his mother started a shop to support his studies and he started to work as a part time computer teacher to support the family. He managed to complete his Post Graduation from Rajiv Gandhi University with first class in merit, his two sisters got married and brother got a job in the police department. During college days influenced by Gandhian Dr S N Subba Rao Living Spirit of Mahatma Gandhi and Founder Director of National Youth Project he started to work for the youths in the state under the banner National Youth Project – AP as President which changed his lives. Initially, he used to conduct youth camps in different corners of the state before successfully conducting various national camps in Arunachal Pradesh conducted i.e Tenga Valley-West Kameng (2000), Tawang (2002), Sille- East Siang (2007), Itanagar-Papum Pare(2008), Chaygaon-Guwahati (2009), Tawang (2010), Lohit (2011), Itanagar (2012), Nampong (2012). Meantime, 52 NYP centres were set up in all the districts of Arunachal Pradesh to take up various economic development activities involving thousands of youths in training and educating them to earn their livelihood. Subsequently his initiatives leads to set up of a residential school at his native village Munshipara in West Bengal and other Entrepreneurs Development Centres in Assam, Mizoram, Manipur, Meghalaya, Tripura, West Bengal, Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan etc. Now NYP became an institutional partner of KVIC, NABARD, IIE, and NCRI besides received the support from various central and state government departments. Turning all odds, including hostile terrain, peculiar topography and geo-climatic condition, NYP-AP carved a niche for itself in the state by imparting skill development training to about 40,000 unemployed youths, farmers and women SHGs during 2009-2013. The best example is in Anjaw district where the NYP provided alternative to opium cultivation and two of our farmers’ clubs earned Rs 1,76 crore by selling large size cardamom, whose cultivation was promoted as an alternative to opium among the opium-addicts. Appreciating the activities of Arunachal Gandhi Ashram, it received affiliated to get registered with Khadi and Village Industries Commission (KVIC) and entrusted with the responsibility of setting up of a model Khadi Ashram at Mahadevpur in Lohit district for which the state government has donated 6.5 acre of land. The NYP-AP pursued the state government to launch Livelihood Mission Schools on the line of Sikkim and hon’ble Chief Minister Shri Nabam Tuki at the initiative of hon’ble Minister Agriculture & Horticulture Sri Setong Sena launched CM’s Livelihood Mission School one in each 60 assembly constituency, beginning with the inauguration of a pilot project at Nampong, inaugurated by the CM on October 18 2012. The NYP signed an MoU with the state government to run the school to provide skill development training to school dropouts in the age group of 18 to 30 years. Moreover, the Gandhi Smriti & Darshan Samiti under Ministry of Culture is supporting us for the promotion of Gandhian philosophy to the masses and Ali Yavar Jung National Institute of Hearing Handicapped under Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment assigned work for the skills training Acknowledgement

to the persons with disabilities in all the north eastern states and few such renowned institution have involved us as over 12000 youths of the states in spreading the message of peace and progress by honouring the spirit of ‘unity in diversity’.

Prizes & Awards Received:

• Karamveer Chakra Award – 2011 by United Nations Volunteers(UNV) for promoting more than 6500 womens in 500 SHGs and 7500 farmers in 82 farmers clubs and providing vocational training programme for more than 5000 youths in Arunachal at New Delhi.

• Bharatiya Vikash Ratan Award - 2012 by All India Business Development Association, New Delhi in recognition of selfless service to the people of Arunachal Pradesh at New Delhi.

• Excellence award for National Social Activity - 2012 by Global Achievers Foundation, at New Delhi.

• Dr. S. N. Subba Rao National Award for Youth Services - 2012 by Bharatya Yuva Shakti at Nampong.

• Mother Teresa Sadbhavna Award with Medal - 2013 by Global Achivers Foundation at New Delhi.

• Best Personalities of India Award – 2013 by Friendship Forum at New Delhi

• Rastriya Pragati Award – 2013 by All India Business Development Association.

Awareness cum Orientation programmes of Farmers Club at Jairampur on 11th April 2013

National Youth Project of Arunachal Pradesh, promoted 5(five) farmer clubs in Changlang district of Arunachal Pradesh, sponsored by NABARD, An Awareness cum orientation programmes of Agriculture, Horticulture, Fisheries and Sericulture development was conducted on 11th April 2013 for the farmer clubs namely: Taipong, Kovin, Lonman, Honkap and Chamro of Jairampur, the participants were Village gaon burahs, senior citizens The resource person gave briefing advice to the farmers of Jairampur areas and Miss Roimem Jugli, NYP co-ordinator emphasized the importance of Agriculture, horticulture Sericulture and others activities related to the farmers and she also encouraged the farmers of Jairampur to develop these, which is important for the future of farmers.

RATAN BISWAS MEMORIAL SCHOOL (RBMS) Inaugurated on 16th June 2013 at Jalpaiguri, West Bengal

An English Medium Co-educational School under National Youth Project was opened at Munshipara, Jalpaiguri District of West Bengal on 16th June 2013.The school was inaugurated by Shri Jagabandhu Biswas Ex- Panchayat member of Munshipara, the occasion was also grace by HP Biswas, President, National Youth Project of Arunachal Pradesh, Public leaders, villagers and school children on the inauguration day of the school. The school will initially start for Nursery, LKG & UKG, which will gradually grow up to high school level in the coming years.

JOB MELAAt Indira Gandhi Park, Itanagar

From 30th August – 1st September 2013

Three days long job Mela cum Skill development selection rally was organised by Department of Industries, Govt. of Arunachal Pradesh, on 30th, 31st August and 1st Sept 2013, for free training, fooding and lodging for the selected trainees. About 14,000 (Fourteen thousand), were registered for the selection rally, out of which 12,000 participated from all over Arunachal Pradesh. Each day, rally selection was done by covering 4000 candidates’ district wise. Many Companies were invited from all over India especially to those who can provide good Vocational Training to the unemployed youth of Arunachal Pradesh with placement guaranteed. As an NGO & a social development organisation, NYP, had also come forward, as VTP (Vocational training Provider), to provide skill development training to unemployed (youths), building their self esteem & self confidence to engaged themselves. While NYP, already have programmes, such as, SDP, EDPs, ESDPs VTPs, MEDPs etc. NYP offered 7 (seven) SDP trades for the trainees, they were Fashion Technology, Information technology, Food Processing, Electricians, Hospitality, Mobile Repairing and English Speaking Course. More than 250 trainees were selected for the training at different places. And these trainees have been recruited by many agencies and are now reaping the fruits of their trainings, now they began to have a good source of income.

Dry Flower Making Venue: NYP Centre, Naharlagun, Papumpare District, Arunachal Pradesh

From 13th September to 27th September 2013

On 13th September 2013, the programme was inaugurated by Smti Higio Aruni, Itanagar Municipal Chief Councilor; MSME (Ministry of Micro, Small & Medium Enterprise) has sponsored Entrepreneurs Development Programme (EDP) for Dry Flower Making to 20 unemployed women of Nahargun under Papumpare district of Arunachal Pradesh at Nahargun. Also present on the occasion were Shri HP Biswas President National Youth Project, Arunachal Pradesh, Pradip Kumar Vice-President NYP, Pranab Das MSME, and other official.

Shri PradipKumar Vice president, NYP urged upon the trainees to take the training whole heartedly, involve themselves in the training and gain new knowledge and skills so that it will help them in their future to be utilized for improvement in their of livelihood. The trainees were trained various styles of making flowers during the training programme. The programme; was appreciated by the candidates and were very happy after attending such progamme, which will be a great help for their daily earning the future.

Entrepreneur Skill Development ProgrammeFancy Bag Making

Venue: NYP Centre, Itanagar, Papumpare District, Arunachal Pradesh

From 16th September to 31st October 2013

On 16th September 2013, Entrepreneurs Development Programme (EDP) was inaugurated by Shri CR Khampa, EAC Bhanderdewa; sponsored by MSME (Ministry of Micro, Small & Medium Enterprise) for 20 unemployed women of Itanagar. Also present on the occasion were Shri HP Biswas President National Youth Project, Arunachal Pradesh, Pradip Kumar Vice-President NYP, Pranab Das MSME, and Shri Tap an, Journalist.Shri CR Khampa, encouraged the trainees to take the training whole heartedly, involve themselves in the training and gain new knowledge and skills: other dignitaries also spoke motivating the trainees. The trainees were trained by experts on various styles of making fancy bags during the training programme. The programme; was appreciated by the candidates and were very happy after attending such progamme, which will be a great help for their daily earning in the future. At the end of the programme the trainees have expressed to take this as another means of earning an additional income.

ENTREPRENEURSHIP DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMME (EDP)ON BEAUTY PARLOUR AT DOIMUKH

FROM 17 SEPTEMBER TO 1ST OCTOBER 2013

A 14 Days Entrepreneurship Development Programme was conducted by National Youth Project in collaboration with MSME Institute under Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprise Itanagar, Arunachal Pradesh. The programme was inaugurated on 17th September 2013 by Shri P. K. Das Assistant Director (Stat), along with Rishi Seth (MSME -DI) H P Biswas President NYP, P K Behra Vice President NYP Itanagar were present on the programme. The objective of the programme was to Motivate the unemployed youth for self-employment. Shri PK Das, speaking on the inaugural programme, he gave a testimony of his struggle to reach to the position where he is now, he encourages the girls to work hard and never hesitate to learn new things, and there is no short cut to hard work. The dignitaries present in the programme also motivated the participants to take the training programme whole heartedly and grab the opportunity with both hands, where as people have to spend money to get the skills but this opportunity is provided at no cost; HP Biswas brought to light about the National Youth Project, activities where the name itself stands for the youth development and growth In the society, it works along with the government departments to reach out to the youths to become self reliant. The training programme was conducted for 2 (two) weeks where the training was held theoretically as well as practical, where practical classes was given more impetus, as the trade was a practical oriented. The training was a great success as the trainees have expressed their satisfaction with the duration and the skills they have acquired.

ENTREPRENEURSHIP DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMME (EDP)ON Fancy cloth Making AT ZIRO

FROM 17 SEPTEMBER TO 1ST OCTOBER 2013

A 14 Days Entrepreneurship Development Programme on ‘Fancy cloth making’ was conducted by National Youth Project in collaboration with Ministry of Micro Small and Medium Enterprises, Development Institute, Itanagar, Arunachal Pradesh. The programme was inaugurated Shri P. K. Das Assistant Director (Stat), along with Rishi Seth Branch MSME-DI, H. P Biswas President NYP, and Miss Takhe Yallu. The objective of the programme was to train the unemployed youth to be self-employed. On the inauguration day, the chief guest PK Das, Assistant Director (Stat) call upon the trainees to think and understand the purpose of their presence in the programme, he encouraged the trainees to take the training seriously and acquired the skills and go back home with their head held high; and that, He also look forward to the success of each of the trainee. HP Biswas (president NYP) also said that, they are the privilege ones, so he encouraged each one to work hard and make use of these few days; it is the skills that will not let the brow to drain with sweat but only need only the inquisitiveness and hard work. Shri PK Behera, gave a brief history of the organisation and how it works for the development of the youth and the society; he said that National youth Project would always be encouraged if the youth come forwards to work for the development of the society, and that it looks ahead to collaborate with the Government departments in bringing changes to the unemployed youths by building their capacity and guiding them. The training programme was conducted by an expert in fancy cloth making. During the training programme the trainees were very sincere and cooperative and within a short period of time many have learned the art. By the end of these fourteen days training the result was there to be seen; the training programme was very enriching for the trainees and that they have acquired the skills and knowledge. Shri Rishi Seth expressed his happiness for the trainees and the instructress for their desires to bring change in their lives. And he also expressed his gratitude for collaborating to implement the project successfully.

On the 10th December 2013 an Entrepreneurship Skill Development Programme on ‘Fancy Cloth Making’ was inaugurated at Ziro organised by National Youth Project in collaboration with Ministry of Micro Small and Medium Enterprises, branch institute Itanagar, for 45 days for 20 unemployed women of Ziro, Lower Subansiri district of Arunachal Pradesh. The Programme was inaugurated by Sri Pranab Kumar Das Assistant director of (MSME) branch Itanagar, Rishi Seth MSME along with Hari Pado Biswas President NYP and Takhi Yalu.Shri Pranab Das speaking on the inaugural function brief the participants about the Ministry of MSME objectives in organizing such programmes, he highlighted about the avenues of self employable opportunity and assured to extend to the trainees all possible help and other logistic supports. He encouraged the youths to grab the opportunity and partake in the programme with sincerity and discipline. He also urged them to utilize the training programme properly so that they can acquire skills and knowledge which will in future help them establish their own business and improve in their Livelihood. Since the present employment avenues in government and private sectors demands qualified persons, so for some of us who have stop education can have an option of self employment as the only alternative for sustenance. Mr. HP Biswas informed the gathering about the future plans and programmes that is to be undertaken by the NYP especially for the benefits of the people of the rural area of the state. He also highlighted about the project which has already been carried out in different parts of the state, where many youths have benefited. Rishi Seth also welcome the trainees and gave in details about the training schedules and requested the participants to be faithful to their own future and work for their goals, discipline is the main key to success in life. The programme was attended by 20 trainees and it was a grand success. The result could be seen by the smile radiating from the faces, the trainees were very talented and they could master the art within no time. Shri PK Behaera Vice President NYP, speaking on the occasion of the valedictory programme congratulated the trainees for the successful training and wished them a great success in their future venture. He also discussed various schemes being implemented by the ESDP and other agencies for the upliftment of the trained artisans to be self employed.

Particularly on the PMEGP (Prime Minister Employment Generation Programme) schemes, for which various trades are taken up under PMEGP scheme which is a subsidy based loan scheme to generate rural as well as urban employment. During this event the following official also participated, Shri Tirthankar Biswas, Assistant Manager of National Bank of Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD) Shri. Pranab Kumar Das, Assistant Director, state in-charge in the Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) Development Institute, and Shri. Also highlighting the various scopes of employment avenues, he said, one has to work hard to achieve the goal; to do this one has to stay alert and work harder for the purpose of life. People just being idle will not bring prosperity but disparity. All the guests spoke on the occasion and enlightened the gathering with their open discussion on the various ventures that a person willing to start can avail and look for support from the government and other agencies, so that they can be self employed and improve in their livelihood. As the individual develop the society also developed, so it is like a two sides of a coin.

The small industries like making woollen garments are very wonderful jobs that could help the youth to sell the woollen garments in the market and become self-employed. The trainees have learned various techniques of using the wool, so they have been well trained and many of them have expressed their desire of making it as a profession for their livelihood. Some have even expressed that it has become a part and parcel of their lives; it will keep them occupied and get an additional income to the family. He encouraged the youth to take the opportunity with both hands and to focus on the training programme that is being provided to them by these agencies at their doorstep. The 7 days training programme was conducted by the master trainer, and from various fields of experts in cane and bamboo. The trainees have honed their skills in this trade and it has greatly benefitted them. There is a huge market for the finished products of cane and bamboo, so the trainees on the concluding were encouraged to go for production of these items and that there is no shortage of market and NYP can also be the channel in this regard, where MSME and KVIC are always there to lend their support.

National Youth Project of Arunachal Pradesh launched KVIC sponsored Skill Development Programme (SDP) on Computer Hardware and Networking for 20 unemployed youths of Itanagar, under Papumpare district of Arunachal Pradesh. On 28th December the programme was formally inaugurated by Shri H.P. Biswas, along with Shri Tapan Biswas Senior coordinator of Itanagar. Shri Hari Pado Biswas, speaking to the participants, encouraged and exhorted them, and had given word to extend all possible help and other logistic supports during the training, and also the

door of NYP is always open for the youths for any guidance. He also exhorts the youth to take the opportunity to develop one’s skill, where the world is now living and moving at a tip of the fingers. Shri Pranab Das speaking on the occasion cautioned the youth about the saturated condition of the present employment scenario and stiff competitiveness where employment remains a far cry for the average and unskilled. So, self employment is the only and alternative for sustenance.

The Khadi and Village Industries commission (KVIC) has sponsored Entrepreneur Development Programme (EDP) on Dry Flower Making for 20 unemployed women of Naharlagun under Papumpare district of Arunachal Pradesh at NYP Centre. The training programme was conducted for 7 days which consisted of theory and practical taken by the master trainers. Ms. Subu Yanga Coordinator of NYP Itanagar was also present on the day of inauguration. Ms. Subu Yanga urged upon the trainees to take the training whole heartedly, involve themselves in the training, and gain new knowledge and acquired skills so that it will help them in their future day to day life and get substantial income. The trainees learned various styles of making flowers during the training programme. The programme was appreciated by the candidates and the trainees were very happy after learning various methods, which will be of great help for their daily additional earning in the future.

Shri Hari Pado Biswas President NYP along with Shri Pranab Das Assistant Director MSME Branch Institute Itanagar inaugurated the programme in the presence of local leaders. Shri HP Biswas encouraged the trainees to take the training serious and acquired skills and knowledge and that the course aims at making them employable and self dependent. Further, to encourage the participants, Shri Pranab Das said that it is the beauty with a brain which matters the most, a trained brain can beautified things better. Shri PK Behera vice President NYP also spoke to the participants to make the programme fruitful and effective. Many of us just sit at home and depends everything from our parents, this trend should be reversed, and we should instead be the provider and ease the burden of our parents. In whatever we do we should be able to stand by our own feet.The training programme was a success; the trainees learned various tips to a beautician; the trainees also acquired skills and knowledge of beauty parlour and the various techniques and practices. The training session was well appreciated and the candidates were very happy to be a part of the training. Shri Rishi Seth, speaking on the concluding programme congratulated the trainees for their hard work and sincerity during the course of the training and he wished them a very fruitful future and success. He was also appreciative and thankful to the master trainer and all the people involved in making the programme a success.

Livelihood Schools: It is envisaged that, in this school the capacities of the unemployed are to be developed to enable them to sustain themselves economically and create a small model of the development unique in entire country. Training section: The training was conducted for one year course from the month of February 2013 to January 2014. The trainees were from a farming background and unemployed youths of both girls and boys, who have been school dropouts because of various reasons.The trainees were new to the trades of the training; based on their choices and preferences of the subjects training were conducted. The training programme for Animal Husbandry was based on four subjects: Dairy, piggery, poultry and goatery. The other trade was Agriculture and Horticulture. The training was conducted theoretically as well as practically.Animal Husbandary: the training was mainly based on the modules laid by the institution. In all the subjects that was dealt with it was based on the management aspects of the farms; physiological values, feeding management, housing systems, disease knowledge, management of diseases, treatment, management of young animals, pregnant animals, marketing systems of the finished farm products. During the course of the training some trainees started rearing the poultry birds. They have also marketed their own finished products from the farms and it has become a source of income even during the course of their training.The second trade carried out at the centre was Agriculture and Horticulture, these section have two parts of the training topic, it was imparted by a well qualified faculty member. During the course of the training under the agriculture subject, the trainees were taught various local indegenous technologies and scientific know how. The training was based on theoritical as well as practical, the main topic covered in this subject are the different crops considered under Agriculture, means of cultivation, type of soil, seasons of planting, season of harvesting, preservation, different diseases affecting the crops, controlling of diseases, methods of plantation, management of pests, uses of fertilizers, weed management etc. The practical classes were carried out in the institutional campus and sometimes even at the local trainees field.

Under the Horticulture subject the various Horticultre plants were taken for study. In this subject the locally viable plants were discussed. The type of soil, temperature, water requirement, planting season, planting procedures, pests management, nutrients requirement and post harvest management. The training was a very fruitful one and enriching and had really transformed the trainees. The capacities of the trainees was build and they have acquired various skilled and knowledge to be able to start their own farms. The trainees have been encouraged to start their own and not sit idle and wait for the Governments and knock the door of the Governments institutions. Exposure Trip: H.P Biswas, President National Youth Project (NYP) organised the exposure trip for the students of Chief Minister’s Livelihood Mission School, Nampong to West Bengal. The exposure trip was a great experience for the trainees for the first time to expose themselves in the development areas. The field trip was for 9 days from 6th January to 14th January 2014. Around 10 of the students participate in the exposure trip along with the trainers.

Prime Minister’s National Council on Skill Development was conducted on 2nd January 2014 at Agartala, Tripura. Dr. S.N. Subba Rao Director of National Youth Project, Delhi, inaugurated the programme. There were host of dignitaries present in the programme, which was chaired by HP Biswas, President, National Youth Project, of Arunachal Pradesh. The programme was sponsored by Ali Yavar Jung National Institute for the Hearing Handicapped (AYJNIHH), organized by National Youth Project. Dr. Roa encouraged the participants that in life there is nothing that is not possible, challenging yet possible. No one can stop anyone from reaching the top, but to reach to that top one must have a focus of life. The following trades were undertaken for the training: Dry Flower making, Stitching, Tailoring and earthen works, Door mats from coconut fibres, Flower Vase making, Paper cups making, plates and Woollen garments for 120 handicapped persons of Agartala, Tripura. Shri H.P. Biswas acknowledging the support of Bhaiji for overall development of the society and the youths, Shri Biswas motivated the participants to take the training with sincerity and acquired the skills; also appreciating the AYJNIHH for the support to the persons with disability, without which the programme could not have been held; And wish success for the participants

Skill Development Programme for persons with disabilities was conducted at Falakata, Jalpaiguri District of West Bengal, for 37 days. The programme was organized by National Youth Project; which was sponsored by Ali Yavar Jung National Institute for Hearing Handicapped (AYJNIHH) under the Union Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment in collaboration with D.D.R.C, Jalpaiguri West Bengal. The Programme was inaugurated on 3rd February 2014 by Shri H.P Biswas, President National Youth Project; along with Prasenjit Sarkar, coordinator of Falakata. Around 80 candidates participated during the inaugural programme. The programme was conducted for various trades like- Dry Flower Making, Stitching, Tailoring and Earthen works, Door Mats from coconut fibre, Flower vase making, Making Paper Cups, Plates and Woolen Garments. The participants were very cooperative and sincere during the trainings. They have definitely acquired skills and have taken great interest in learning various art of Craftsmanship; which will help them contribute to the family needs in improving their livelihood.

Shri H.P Biswas speaking during the inaugural function said that self employment is one’s choice for survival as there is scarcity of Govt, jobs. Shri HP Biswas inaugurated the programme, and……………Programme Coordinator of Aizawl was also present on the occasion. Shri HP Biswas, lauded Ali Yavar Jung National Institute for the Hearing Handicapped, for the support rendered to the handicapped people. The Inauguration programme was held on 16th December 2013, Shri H.P. Biswas, National Youth Project President Arunachal Pradesh inaugurated the programme. Ms. Mina Sonar Programme Coordinator of Bomdila was also present on the inauguration day. Shri H.P Biswas particularly lauded the support given by the Prime Minister’s National Council on Skill Development (PMNCSD) scheme for the persons with handicapped. He highlighted the various trades to be taken up during the training. He urged the participants to utilize the training Programme properly so that everyone will be able to take forwards the skills and knowledge and be self employed. The programme has been very fruitful for all the participants, the trainees have really been dedicated and learn many skills. So there is a great hope that many will make it big as most of them were so talented and hard working. The 7 days state level PMEGP exhibition was inaugurated by Shri Tapang Taloh; Minister of Industries as Chief Guest and Smti Nidhi Srivastava, Deputy Commissioner, East Siang district as Guest of Honour. Other guests present during the inaugural function are, A. P. Chobin; Assistant Director Khadi & Village Industries Commission, Itanagar. Shri Denong Tamuk, Chief municipal councilor, HP Biswas President NYP, D. Koyu DDI Pasighat, SBI Bank Manager, Public & 25 units of exhibitors Including Khadi Institutions and PMEGP units. The inaugural function of the programme started with the garlanding of Mahatma Gandhi portrait and lighting of lamp, felicitation of the guest. In his inaugural address, the minister, spoke about the Govt. of Arunachal Pradesh initiatives towards upliftment of the young entrepreneurs, and advised youths to choose entrepreneurship for overall development. He also assured to conduct skill development programme for entrepreneurs in all district of the state. N. Srivastava stressed the importance of such events and advised entrepreneurs to make market oriented products, and Mr. Chobin explained the usefulness of PMEGP schemes in benefiting artisans who set up their own micro small and medium enterprises. The events:Preparation of the stalls: the stall was prepared and constructed by National Youth Project, a RISC unit under KVIC state office Itanagar after selection of the tenders submitted by the three parties.Publicity: in order to promote the programme vast publicity was made before commencement and during the ongoing programme. The means of publicity were advertisement in the daily issues of the state Newspapers, cable TV network, banners, public announcement, invitations, circulars etc. The participants: the Exhibitors were selected from all over the state of Arunachal Pradesh from PMEGP, REGP and KVIC/KVIB/DIC units and some Khadi units from other states like Manipur, Assam and West Bengal for the promotion and sales of their products.

The Products on Displayed: the products displayed and sale during the exhibition ranges from handloom, handicrafts, honey bee, khadi clothes, artificial flowers, wooden furniture, cane and bamboo furniture, candle, pickle, soap, agarbati, and varieties of other khadi and village industries products of Arunachal Pradesh and other units from Assam.

Cultural Programme: During the exhibition a cultural programme was daily organised for the public. Local artists from all over the districts performed their traditional dances with lots of charm and tranquility, which show case the harmony of the people. The guests and the visitors greatly appreciated the rich tradition and culture of the state.

Buyers and Sellers Meet: on the concluding day of the exhibition a programme was organised where the buyers, sellers and the other participants got the opportunity to interact and discussed various problems and achievement; its prospects and progress of the artisans with the Khadi and village industries sectors.
