The course aims to familiarize students with the all fields of Construction Management and Building Economics. They will acquire advanced knowledge of international engineering duties with a special focus on Austrian and Italian construction principles. Specific knowledge and vocabulary of construction management, concepts, cost estimation, pricing, forms of compensation, basics of pricing, organisation, controlling, project administrati- on will be taught and for a further understanding, the lectures will be combined with field studies and site visits. Furthermore a deeper insight into topics as BIM, integrated building systems, aquisition and competition, tendering, general conditions of contract will be given. The ACME Seminar is an international knowledge exchange course beween the Politecnico Milano and the Graz Technical University.
